The writing style is appropriate for children, giving them opportunities to imagine how life was in Biblical times. There is depth to these stories, but the author presents them in a way that captures the imagination of anyone of any age who listens to them.

Learn the devotion of King’s hearts in this book!

This book is an immersive experience. I loved the sound effects. The beautiful sound of birds in the garden of Eden was fantastic. The multiple voices of the people of Israel speaking as a whole was cool. Betty Reeves weaves a multi-layered tapestry of history with this narrative of biblical stories.

The special effects heard in the background add to the depth and richness of the tale. From the noises of boots crunching through the grass, the lowing of cattle, the bleating of sheep, or the braying of donkeys to the sounds of war, this author weaves a rich tapestry through the layering of history into this many-textured book. The author’s expertise is apparent in the well-developed characters such as Goliath, who—laughing as any bully would—is heard by listeners as the tale is told.

The format is professionally done, with short chapters. The individually titled subheadings make the book a collection of short stories that entertain and delight listeners.

I most heartily recommend this book to everyone who loves listening to Bible stories!
