What happens after the happily ever after?

When they get news of another couple’s impending divorce, Rumi forces a conversation that reveals simmering fears, hurt, and secrets in her and Micah’s marriage. And once they confront long overdue questions about the stability of their own family, will their friends’ relationship be the only one coming to an end?

Nia Forrester is a beast with storytelling. She takes a romantic slow burn, throws in a couple of plotline bombshells, and stands back to watch her listeners scramble to collect themselves in light of the revelations.

The character arcs in this story are impeccable, and so reflective of real conflicts that couples face in committed relationships. Realistic. Honest. Raw. I was waiting with bated breath to see how the pieces would fall, and the conclusion was absolutely satisfying.

The narrator does a pretty good job throughout the story, especially the emotional parts. The audio quality could use some improvements, but the airy tone of the recording wasn’t enough to distract from the story.

5 stars.

Displaced Anger

Ummm 🤔, “Happily, Ever (The Short Series) - # 11” (3.75 ⭐️’s) was officially my second least favorite book from Author Nia Forrester. …This friendship storyline, & the recollection of events which transpired in college ten or more years prior was juvenile, asinine & a waste of precious time🙄🤷🏾‍♀️🤦🏾‍♀️‼️Who cares‼️Rumi can’t be that dense, desperate, naïve nor selectively stupid regarding the tenants of genuine friendship, verses spousal love & devotion. Yet the audacity Rumi would randomly interrogate her husband after ten years of marriage and two children (established careers & a home) regarding reckless event that transpired in college. However, she defends a faux friend over her husband. Yea, right that doesn’t sound remotely logical‼️Gurllll, wake up Vanessa ain’t your friend🥴. DUH🤦🏾‍♀️‼️ Displaced anger‼️
