Resumen del Editor

An original novel set in the Halo universe - based on the New York Times best-selling video game series!

The year 2559. Formerly one of the Covenant’s greatest and most fearsome warriors, Arbiter Thel ‘Vadam is now allied with his former human enemies while deeply entrenched in leading the Sangheili people to a new era of unification. But his aspirations are under constant threat, whether by the dangerous, warring factions of rival Sangheili keeps or the relentless shadow of oppression spread by the renegade artificial intelligence Cortana.

An opportunity to break Cortana’s chains has suddenly presented itself through the rumored existence of an ancient artifact located on the hostile world of Netherop. Spartan Olympia Vale, trained with the skills to live and thrive among the Sangheili, also recognizes this alien prize as an essential means to aid humanity in reaching the same goal of freedom. But behind the scenes, both ‘Vadam and Vale are being manipulated by a mysterious figure with their own agenda. And to make matters worse, all involved are unknowingly placing themselves at perilous odds with forces beyond their comprehension....

Thank god there was a male narrator!

Story was ok, pretty bland, not a lot of action, just seemed to carry the canon forward. Thank god it was a male narrator, otherwise, this would have been un listenable. Scott brick is the goat! I still enjoy it because it’s halo, just keep to male narrators! The worst male narrator is 100x better than the “best” female narrator. Please thank you!

well written and performed

Scott brick is marvelous as always. The relationship between Vale and the Arbiter was great. Looking forward to finding out what happened afterwards.

Gamer thinks the books are better

I played all the video games and I got to say that the books have been way better then anything 343 has been putting out, this book is holding their lore up and doing a good job at it, Scott is the best as well

Scott Brick. Again?

Scott should be narrating 1960s detective novels. He's far too monotone for Halo books.

An intriguing sequel to Halo: Oblivion

Outcasts does a spectacular job resolving some lore implications introduced in Halo: Oblivion while staying in the current Halo 5/Infinite universe era. There is beautiful symmetry at points to the first book, and very interesting plot developments that keep you guessing how the story will end right up to the last hour. Well done Scott and Troy!

A nice adventure with The Arbiter and Vale amidst the Created conflict.

Any chance to see a story set in-between Halo 5: Guardians and Halo Infinite is a welcome one, and this is no exception. The focus on the Sangheili and their culture is focused on pretty heavily here with Thel’s plot, which is absolutely needed for the conflict ahead.

It’s a good mix of intrigue, satisfying pay-offs from other Halo books, and surprisingly a dash of horror with certain elements I can’t say due to spoilers.

If you like Halo books, this is definitely one not to miss.

Long awaited and worth the wait

This novel nicely ties up a number of old storylines, gives us more of characters that we quite like, and has interesting implications overall to the story of halo. Definitely worth the read.
