This series is kicking
sometimes the narrator get excited reading it and finds you sitting on the edge of the chair wondering who's gonna die. what's gonna happen now. man ... plz get into this authors work . well worth the time. has some cussing in it that I hate But the story is so cool. it's also got some funny parts I was rolling.

Amazing Story!

This is my new favorite book series and I eagerly await the next book! Thanks for writing such a high quality book.

FANTASTIC Sequel!

I purchased “Hail of Brimstone” because I enjoyed “Shadow of Wolves” so VERY much. Such a smart, entertaining horror novel that didn’t insult my intelligence and kept me wanting more.
J. R. White has given us Kit Barker, a character of the old west…fast with his guns, just, haunted by his past, and loyal to the few men (and women) he calls friends. I was not prepared to fall in love with this book. I have to admit, since I was a child, my favorite fictional monsters were werewolves, but with the ruination of werewolves by modern romance novelists (I know,right? Jeez.), J.R. White and his Kit Barker were a solid gold breath of fresh air. The writing and narration (kudos to Micah Mason!!!) we’re enough to make me want to give “Hail of Brimstone” a shot, and it surpassed all expectations, and after his first book, they were high,
Buy this book! You will not be disappointed! I am elated to find another Kit Barker book is in the works.

More!!!!!

The Kit barker "universe" if you will, was exactly what I was hunting for this week. Absolutely awesome journey so far and I hope to enjoy MORE!!!!! I NEED MORE!!!!!

Instantly one of my favorites

I don't know whether I enjoyed the first book or this one more. Amazing storyline. I was pulled into the story from beginning to end. Loved the descriptive fight scenes and overall was a thoroughly entertaining. Can't wait for the next one. Keep them coming!!!

Explosive sequel

I read the first Kit Barker book, and absolutely loved it. This sequel did not disappoint—and if you didn’t get a chance to read the first book (you should but…), you can jump into this story with ease. From the opening scene, to Kit’s many bloody battles, I was on the edge of my seat! I was overjoyed to find Swiftrunner back and I loved the newest additions of Priest and Sweet. With another formidable foe, and deadly weapon to take down the gang has a lot of work in store for them. Both the action and writing flows perfectly and I’m now anxiously hoping for/awaiting a third book!!

The second book is better than the first

Another great story, you can't help but root for Kit. I copied by review of the first one because this one was just as good, maybe even slightly better. The fight scenes will have you cheering and gasping out load.

I'm a new fan to this genre, usually preferring trashy romance or supernatural stories. This one kept my attention from the first chapter, I was hooked. I listened to it while I was on the road, even driving around the block to finish the chapters or find out what happened, before being able to turn it off. The writing is fantastic, very descriptive without being over the top. You could picture it happening in your mind. It told a great story that leaves you happy with the ending, and yet a teasing desire to know more. The narrator did an amazing job with all the different characters. I enjoy the book so much that I gave it to my best friend as a gift. I can't wait to see what she thinks.

Even if it's not something you normally read, give it a try, you won't be disappointed.

Simple, compelling and fun. Can’t recommend hard enough.

When I read the first book, Shadow of Wolves, I had no idea what to expect or even where in the series I was beginning, I just liked the concept of a monster western. I had no idea how much I was going to like that book and I honestly would have been ok if that was just a one off concept and the other books, if there were any, were just traditional westerns. I liked the character of Kit Barker that much. I listened to both books back to back and this book blew me just like the first. The story, the characters, even the narrator was great (I usually find narrators to be hit or miss if I like them or not). I had no idea where this book was gonna go and I loved it and I hope this turns into a long running series. With the way the books ended I want to see it headed where I think it’s going. This is one of those series that if you got the right people involved, I would watch the hell out of it if they adapted it to like a Netflix series or something. Can’t recommend enough, and this is coming from someone who has read only 1 or 2 westerns in my life.

Not as good as the first but still a a winner! I can’t wait for book three! Never really thought I would like the a series about a gunfighter but this author makes it a fun read!

Well worth the credit!!!!
