Great narrative.

I particularly like having the behind the scenes view of the comic world. Fun ride with great Canadian references

Gripping!!!

The characters really come alive. Brent does an outstanding job. Like the man says, the specifics really sell it. You can tell there are elements of life experience woven into a terrifyingly terrific tale.

Great story, not corner gas.

I love corner gas and had to check this book out. From the opening scenes you know this isn’t going to be slap stick. It is a darker mystery with plenty of jokes thrown in.

Fun mystery/thriller

Fun story with lots of dark humor. Hobie has a lot of layers and enjoyed him a lot

HUGE

HUGE is a phenomenal thriller written by Canadian comic Brent Butt. Brent even narrates the book and nailed the narration. Being that it's written by a comedian, it has lots of funny lines. But it's also somewhat dark and psychological. The book caught my attention from the first sentence and kept it until the book ended. The books writing was flawless and perfect. The flow of the book is excellent!

I got this off a recommendation and enjoyed the entire story, I laughed out loud at moments and the climax of the story completely caught me off guard, a complete character development and i hope its not the last time we see Hobie Huge.

after listening to several comics' podcasts about life on the road, it was fascinating to hear a suspenseful tale spun from it. engaging and fun.

Great character dialog. The humor woven throughout the story.

Dislike first. Personally flashbacks are not my ideal way to hear a story. Would have much preferred some pre knowledge of Hobie's past, not all at the end. (never been a far of a "it's all wrapped up now" style ending) Like the murder at the onset of the book, makes you think, who did that? That being said, absolutely loved the book. The way the characters interacted with each other, and the thought process of their consequences of actions. Not just diving off into action head first. Character development is always a plus. We want to love and hate the correct person(s), all while kind of wondering who is the bad one? Would love to hear more.

Brent Butt is a national treasure

When I heard about his book on The National I had to get it. Brent’s work on Corner Gas was genius so no surprise that his first book is also stellar. Enjoyed the jokes and the adventure the story provided. Big fan. Thanks Brent

idk what i expected but i was blown away by brent’s writing skills. i want to tell all my favorite comedians to read this.
