Great Story, Great Narration!

Typically I do not listen to many shifter books, but I had heard many wonderful things about the author's writing style. Jodi Vaughn is an awesome author! I loved the humor in the book. This is a standalone listen and it is part of a series. While the character of Granny (she has a sex toy business) is wonderfully outrageous and endearing, she only has a minor role in this story. Hailey and Jayden are the focus in this book. They try to fight their feelings and growing relationship, which adds to the book. Both Hailey and Jayden are overcoming mental and physical scars. Hailey has a stalker, she was previously kidnapped, and abandoned by her family and boyfriend. Jayden was battered and abused physically. This story has romance, suspense, humor, steam and great writing, The narration by Jeffrey Kafer fit this book perfectly. His voice and expressions were exactly what the story called for. I requested this review copy audiobook and have voluntarily written this review. I will definitely listen to more books by this author and narrator.

Romance, Suspense and More!

This third book in the Rise of the Arkansas Werewolves series is full of romance, suspense and more! Jayden wasn’t the same after saving Haley from Red Weres months ago and now she is in the sights of a stalker and he must once again protect her. Haley has been abandoned by her fiancé and family and is trying to start over in Arkansas however a stalker is making this difficult. As usual Jodi Vaughn gives us wonderful characters, including Jayden and Haley well as other characters we have grown to love from the series. Of course granny provides us with the comic relief we always enjoy in these books! Jeffrey Kafer never disappoints with his extraordinary narration. It always amazes me how he can come up with so many different voices. I received a free copy of this audiobook and am providing an unbiased review.

My Thoughts on Desires of a Full Moon

I think I may love this third book of the series more than the previous two. I loved all the characters, especially Jayden and Haley. They both went through something traumatic at the same time and they both have emotional, mental and some physical scars from the experiences. How they help each other move past it made for a great romance.

I love the connection between the books and story lines and how they still manage to be completely separate stories at the same time. This book gave me a chance to reconnect with the characters that I came to know and love in the first two stories and I also got to know Jayden and Haley ( we were introduced in the previous books) even better.

Once again Jeffrey Kafer did an outstanding job with the narration on this one. I love all the different voices he created for the different characters (granny is particularly funny) and will happily continue listening to any romance I can get my hands on that he narrates.

I hope there are many more books in this series to come. I am especially looking forward to Barrett finally meeting his match.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book.

This book is the full package. A good plot, humor, great character's, and action. I loved Granny and her entrepreneurial ventures lol. Jayden the dirty talking alpha wolf definitely brought the sexy back to my book play list. Jeffrey Kafer's performance certainly contributed to kicking the heat factor up a notch. Because I haven't listened to the other book's in this series I went into this book without the character's back story. Lucky the author recaps enough of the previous books to fill in the gaps. So I had no trouble keeping up. This book could be a stand alone, but I will be buying the rest of this series because I loved it so much.

Loved this one

I got this story via audiobook boom and this is my voluntary review. What do you do when you come face to face with your past and have to protect it. You step up and get the job done. Jayden had to put personal feeling aside and protect a werewolf who had been abandoned by her parents because they thought she had been raped. She had to get her head on straight so that she could begin to live again. They both do what is necessary and the story comes out good. The narrator was just right and the storyline continues. This is book 3 of a new set of paranormal who are working to build a community that will prosper. Waiting on the next book.
