David Boudia
One of America's most heralded young divers, David Boudia twice went for Olympic gold, training obsessively and wholeheartedly for success. In his first Olympics, he failed miserably, not winning a single medal. Four years later saw a different story: He mounted the podium twice, winning both gold and bronze. The difference? In the intervening years, he'd changed the focus of his quest from seeking glory for himself to giving glory to God.
In Greater Than Gold, Boudia provides behind-the-scenes access to the rarefied world of world-class athletics while also showing listeners that when they place their hope in God, they receive what they've been seeking all along.

Any additional comments?
I found it to be a tremendous inspiration! While I have long desired to bring glory to God in my pursuit of competitive shooting, this was an awakening to my many short comings...I am confident my first listening has made me a better person and will only strengthen my walk with Christ! Thank you!
Tremendous!!!

Would you say that listening to this book was time well-spent? Why or why not?
I did enjoy this book, but I feel like his story wasn't too surprising (not that it should be) and a little preachy at times. I am a Christian myself, but I feel like there is a way to talk about your faith without having to go into a semi-sermon, which I feel like this was at times. I read theology books on my own, but I wanted to just get enjoyment out of an autobiography. This book is not that big so it was pretty good and interesting at times. He definitely had some pride issues that he talks a lot about, which I think is important. I am glad of how he talked on that.Would you recommend Greater Than Gold to your friends? Why or why not?
If people ask me about books written or about Olympians (which I have listened to/read a few of), I will bring this up, but it probably will be one that I only recommend to those who are already believers of Christ. He is really inspiring and a great person. What three words best describe Adam Verner’s voice?
striking, unemotional, articulateWhat else would you have wanted to know about David Boudia’s life?
I think he should have written this maybe now or a little later. He has since had two children and I want to know how his parenting is going. I follow him on Instagram and he is adorable with them. Now that he has been married for a few more years, I would like to know how that is going as well. As for his past, he did a pretty good job talking about it and I liked what he said.Any additional comments?
Note that I think it is good to talk about your faith quite a bit. Keep shining a light David.Great Diver and inspiring
