Resumen del Editor

With humor and a modern perspective, young conservative journalist Kristin Tate points out what's broken in our government and shows listeners how they can fix it.

Do you really think you're "free"? #LOL.

DC politicians ship our friends and family overseas to fight in wars we shouldn't be fighting. They monitor our emails, record our phone calls, and peer into our snail mail. They spend our hard-earned cash on things no disciplined family would buy. They tell us who we can marry and what we can put in our bodies. They throw us in overcrowded prisons for smoking pot. They take lavish trips around the world, staying in five-star hotels...and it comes straight out of our paychecks.

This isn't freedom.

Government Gone Wild is a brash, bold ride through the carnival of absurdities that our broken system has become. This isn't about Democrats versus Republicans...it's about inspiring hardworking Americans to give a damn so we can take our country back. This is your wake-up call. You're not anywhere near as free as you think you are - but you can be. We're not as prosperous as we once were - but we can be.

Reseñas de la Crítica

" Government Gone Wild is a tour de force! Anybody who is looking for what comes next in America should pick up this book right now and read it straight through." (Nick Gillespie, editor in chief of Reason.com)
"Kristin Tate emerges on the scene as the voice of millennial generation in Government Gone Wild. Insightful, unexpectedly thought-provoking, and with a heavy dose of humor, this really is a must read for anyone irked by the status quo in Washington." (Carla Gericke, president of the Free State Project)
" Government Gone Wild is a wake-up call from Kristin Tate. In a lively style, she makes it clear that you're not nearly as free as you think you are. A lot of what she has to say may rub you the wrong way, but it's a message you need to hear. (Scott Rasmussen, New York Times best-selling author, cofounder of ESPN, founder of the Rasmussen Reports)

Good Perspective.

Any additional comments?

The author does a good job pointing out how the government has become mislead and now interferes with our basic freedoms as United States citizens.

The author does put too much of herself and her stories in it making it a bit long-winded.

fox news kept promoting it

Any additional comments?

I gave this a try because the girl who wrote it is really pretty. Seriously, look her up. Anyways it's a good listen for an introduction into the libertarian point of view. It's basically 7 hours of John Stossel if he were a millennial woman. So if you like millennial John Stossel, this is right up your alley.

The depth of the topics are a little shallow though because she runs the gamut of the conservative-libertarian platform so make sure to supplement all the points she made with your own information before you start arguing with other people at dinner parties.

Final point: it's also a little condescending like she's talking to people who haven't had any interests outside of partying and television. I'm guessing that's the target demographic but I don't think they read books anyways so it'll probably never reach their eyes. If you can get pass that, it's well written.

TL;DR -

1 basically millennial John Stossel.

2 covers libertarian topics but shallow.

3 probably made for people who don't read books but well written.
