different than other nooks by the author but completely enjoyable. worth the money 100%. buy

Easy to listen

The plot was ok. Lots of sex. It felt short. I like the theme of the book. I’m glad it wasn’t much violence. Wish it was a series instead standalone. So far liking this author.

Cool universe

This was my first book with droids. I wasn’t sure if I would like the relationships but it was written beautifully and made me fall in love with them! The droids have fun and cute personalities

Personally this book ticked a lot of boxes for me, so it was a no-brainer when it became available on audible, I got it immediately!

It’s a Sci-fi romance, a reverse harem with sex workers who happen to be androids who are fully sentient and a FMC who knows her business and falls for each and every single one of them (which is understandable because they have such wonderful personalities, it’s literally a “why choose” scenario).

The androids all have distinct personalities and “flaws”, which are more like personality quirks that make them incredibly charming, yet undesirable in a planet where pleasure is its main attraction (and industry), they’re also outdated except for one of the models. However this isn’t a problem for our MMC Nötchka Uumian, who initially was just looking for the cheapest cozy house in the android pleasure district to live through her first heat undisturbed and suddenly finds herself as their mechanic, repair woman and lowkey detective.

This was such a fun, entertaining book, I’ve listened to it multiple times meanwhile because Cassandra Medcalf and Jarman Day do such a good job narrating it! Cassandra Medcalf’s role is a little bit more prominent than Jarman Day’s due to the fact this is a dual narration and our FMC Nötchka has a more prominent role throughout the book, but Medcalf holds her ground quite well and even gives the different MC’s different cadences which makes them super easy to differentiate. As for her role as Nötchka, it’s TOP-NOTCH! I love it when books are thoroughly acted out instead of just read and she totally delivers!

The narrators definitely made this book justice!

The foundation of this story is sex. All 5 of the heroes (Avan-8, Gloss, K1N0/Kino, Rom-eo, Kev-1) are sex workers who live/work in a Cozy House (a droid brothel on a pleasure planet). And all of their self-actualization comes through sex with the heroine (Nötchaka). She's a purple humanoid alien who literally stumbles upon these guys while sweating, horny, and mindless from her first heat. FYI, there aren't any deep thoughts in this book, it's more like if slapstick and dad jokes were a horny person with a heart of gold. 

I really enjoyed the fact that the heroine was so useful to her heroes, with both her tech skills and her magic pu$$y. The heroes were early model, obsolete sexbots. Even though they’d seen a lot, they were still extremely innocent. They really needed her to help and someone to take charge. This is the only way I can tolerate a girlboss in romance. Nötchaka's experience as a scavenger and her street smarts were invaluable to them. My only beefs: not enough description of the male body parts and how they differed (we don't even know if these guys faux-ejaculated). I'm kinda curious as to what all those C3POs felt like. Plasticy??? Siliconey??? Like pleather? Or maybe like warm lab grown leather??? 😂😂😂 There were hella orgasms but very few metaphors. Plus there was only ONE scene where the heroine gave ONE droid oral, but she got it on the reg from everyone. This was clearly designed as a woman's fantasy. Very queen centred. I also kept getting hung up on the longterm feasibility of a human-ish female being mated to purpose built robots. Would all that one-track thinking get tiring? So that was a bit of a downer. The ending is crazy, basically a farce comedy. No MM, though it's hinted at in the last 10 min.

Reverse Harem Android Romance

Good Deeds by Kathryn Moon is a reverse harem android romance that I listened to on audio narrated by Cassandra Medcalf and Jarman Day.

This is the first book of Kathryn that I have read, and it won't be my last. I really enjoyed the relationship that bloomed between Nötchka, Avan-8, GL0SS, ROM-E0, K1N0, and Kev-1. I liked that we got all of their points of views throughout the book. It really brought the story to life.

Cassandra and Jarman did an amazing job on the narration. They both really know how to bring a story to life. I look forward to listening to more of their work in the future.

I would recommend this book if you like reverse harem romances, android romances, or science fiction romances.

When Notchka goes to a pleasure planet for work she's thrown into her first heat. Desperate for relief but low on funds, Natchka make a deal of repairs for pleasure. In between cycles, women are going missing, adding mystery to this steamy sci-fi romance. While I kind of figured out who was responsible behind the missing women, I didn't guess why (which I probably should have.) I enjoyed the mix of steam, suspense and humor.

I received this audiobook for free from Pink Flamingo Productions and Audiobook Obsessions. This is my honest and voluntary review.

An Unexpected Pleasure

This book sounded pretty good so I decided to take a chance on it. It turned out to be really wonderful. The cyborgs were all hunky guys with such distinct, adorable personalities. I adored everyone of them. The female lead was unapologetic in her enjoyment and not ashamed of her sexual appetite which was a refreshing way to handle a reverse harem in this genre. I appreciated it. It seemed more honest than the contrived shyness or feigned reluctance like most. This girl was happy to partake of all that was offered. Besides all that, there was an unfolding criminal plot with an Action-Packed ending. All in all a credit well spent!

A great listen. The story is wonderfully unique, I've not come across one like it.
