It’s engaging. Raw. Relatable and worth listening to over and over again. Loved it so much I ordered a hard copy to highlight in.

Wow. The ideas brought forward in this book has opened my eyes. The author and speaker has a calming voice and has a brilliant way to convey ideas. I hope I can use this knowledge to improve and be the manager my team needs.

Refreshingly sober reference book

This book was a refreshingly sober walk through the application of leadership principles listed in other books on the same subject.
Not too dry, not too frilly, not too bogged down with studies and data to be interesting, and not too reliant on personal anecdotal tangents to be useful in the reader’s own worklife.
A good solid instructional guide to begin working your own way down the path of embodying authority from within — not just leaning on a title.
Keeping this in my library to revisit in the future.

pretty good read

I enjoyed this audiobook but felt like it went by too fast. I'm going to have to re-listen to it again as I drifted off a few times while he was explaining different employees and their traits.

Excellent book on leadership

This book is insightful and a great read. Drawing on a plethora of experience and background experience, the author shares all we need to know really about using authority for good. Abuse of authority abounds, so this book is informative and refreshing! Lead smarter not harder!

Great find

I’m a business coach and read quite a bit. I read a lot and recommend very little. This is in my short list of books I strongly encourage my clients to read.

Less superman more yoda!

The book gave my an opportunity to reframe my approach of how I perceive I bring value. It also helped me think about how I've approached the team, which might just be the cause of my own overwhelm. Quick read with interesting stories and examples. I would recommend it. I enjoyed it and look forward to putting some ideas into practice.
