This gives the big picture of female representation and rap culture with a lot of little anecdotes to tie it all together. This was such a palette cleanser from my typical.

Admire the passion

I prefer this audio book over some documentaries I’ve seen it’s got great history and perspective. I’d recommend if you like hip hop not just female artists.

I really enjoyed all the details. I learned a lot about the women I have admired over the years and appreciate the complexities of their lives even more. Thank you!

Good Story, Not the Best Narrator Choice

I very much appreciate this story of women and hip-hop! I don’t, however, think this is the best narrator for a book like this.
