This explains why I don’t like church.

I thoroughly enjoyed this book. Costi Hinn’s story about his experience with the prosperity gospel opened my eyes to what I have felt for many years. I now understand what I thought I believed about the big name televangelists and many local preachers I have encountered during my Christian journey. I’m encouraged to venture back into church but, I am going in with open eyes and an open heart. Thank you Costi. I now think it’s possible for me to enjoy church and the Christian life again.

By far the best book I’ve ever listened to on the fallacies and dangers of the health, wealth, prosperity gospel. A great balance of sharing his personal inside story of him and his family in the midst of the charismatic movement and an examination of its errant teachings through the lens of scripture.

Much needed information on the Prosperity Teaching.

The story was interesting and Josh Child’s narration brought it to life. Best narration I have experienced. Costi’s personal insight gives us the information we need to understand how very wrong and against God’s word the prosperity teaching really is.

Good book with some question marks

Good book when it comes to revealing the prosperity Gospel. Less good for not believing that the Prophetic gifts as it written on the Holy Bible still apply today. Jesus is the same yesterday, today and forevermore.

Fantastic book! Very eye-opening!

What a great testimony of emancipation from a false gospel! I really appreciated the inside look as to what really goes on in prosperity gospel ministry, and I’m grateful for the story of rescue and redemption of the author Costi. The message to confront this false gospel is loud and clear, May the church (including me) show faithfulness to the true gospel and to confronting this egregious sin.

Authenticity: He Paid A High Price To Speak Truth

Costi Hinn's book is simply beautiful. He is honest while humble. He is a true picture of what it means to forsake all for the Gospel. He brings credibility to a needed discussion in Christianity, and clarity on exactly what truly is the Gospel. He paid a high price to speak the truth.

Memorable First Audible

Perfect type of book for a listen.

Costi’s been on my list since before it was published but — time... Just never got to ordering and reading (though I read a lot and read his first.)

I’m not the biggest fan of listening to books — but I may listen to more autobiographical & biographical works via Audible.

The format makes it easy to speed up the book in certain points while the narrator is still easy to understand.

Overall I highly recommend this resource both for content and performance.

Wow... what an amazing testimony of God’s grace in Costi’s life. Thank you Costi for writing this book to shed light on the deception of the Prosperity gospel and spur us on to stand for God’s truth. I thoroughly enjoyed listening to this book. Costi is firm but also loving and clear in his approach to all of this. I will definitely be taking his advice on how to approach those caught in deception. Listened to this at a perfect time in my life.
