Two women are dead.

One was pregnant.

And nothing about the shooting was random.

Detective Madison Knight responds to a fatal shooting at a crowded train station. Two women are dead. The gunman is gone. And there’s no clear motive—only chaos and unanswered questions.

Witnesses report a third woman at the scene. Young. Agitated. And she fled before police arrived. Madison knows she’s the key to everything.

As the investigation unfolds, Madison is pulled into the world of drug trafficking—and straight into territory controlled by the Russian mafia. When the shooter’s body is later discovered, the truth becomes impossible to ignore.

This wasn’t a rampage.

It was a cleanup.

Now Madison is racing the mob to uncover what really happened at the station and find the missing woman before she’s silenced. Every answer tightens the net—and the closer Madison gets, the clearer it becomes that the mob is already closing in.

A tense, high-risk crime thriller and police procedural where survival depends on staying one step ahead.

There are so many female detective novels today it’s a luxury to compare and contrast. This “Madison” gets her at through posturing . I don’t think that her methodology would really work so well in real life but this is a listenable story with a female sleuth that borders on horribly annoying but never really crosses the line. Enjoy the female fantasy love interest who is endlessly loving and understanding, doesn’t cheat, and likes to kiss her no matter how bad her breath must be.

A bombastic Madison
