Acerca de esta escucha

An adaptation of the business classic Getting Things Done for teenage listeners.

The most interconnected generation in history is navigating unimaginable amounts of social pressure, both in personal and online interactions. Very little time, focus, or education is being spent teaching and coaching this generation how to navigate this unprecedented amount of "stuff" entering their lives each day. How do we help the overloaded and distracted next generation deal with increasing complexity and help them not only survive, but thrive? How do we help them experience stress-free productivity and gain momentum and confidence? How do we help them achieve autonomy, so that they can confidently take on whatever comes their way?

Getting Things Done for Teens will train the next generation to overcome these obstacles and flourish by coaching them to use the internationally renowned Getting Things Done methodology. In its two editions, David Allen's classic has been translated into dozens of languages and sold over a million copies, establishing itself as one of the most influential business books of its era, and the ultimate book on personal organization. Getting Things Done for Teens will adapt its lessons by offering a fresh take on the GTD methodology, framing life as a game to play and GTD as the game pieces and strategies to play your most effective game. It presents GTD in a highly visual way and frames the methodology as not only as a system for being productive in school, but as a set of tools for everyday life.

Getting Things Done for Teens is the how-to manual for the next generation - a strategic guidebook for creating the conditions for a fruitful and effective future.

Includes a bonus PDF with a visual summary, lab experiments, and a glossary.

Reseñas de la Crítica

“As a GTD devotee for nearly two decades, I know how these principles have transformed my own work life. So I’m thrilled that David Allen is bringing his brilliance to the most important audience of all: Our young people. Today’s teenagers face a tsunami of distractions and pressures. This practical and powerful book will ease their stress and focus their minds in ways that will last a lifetime.” (Daniel H. Pink, New York Times best-selling author of When and Drive)

Getting Things Done outlines so many of the keystone habits that allow us to have calmer, more productive, more creative lives. If you learn these techniques when you’re young, they’ll pay off for decades. I can’t think of a better guide for success in life.” (Charles Duhigg, New York Times best-selling author of The Power of Habit)

“Read and experiment with this book; your future self will thank you.” (Tony Hsieh, CEO of Zappos.com and New York Times best-selling author of Delivering Happiness)

I’ve read the original version which was great. This version simplifies the concepts, tools and application for a teen, or someone interested in a refresher. Strongly recommend this version!

I listened to the original GTD and GTD For Teens back-to-back, and this book really helped clarify the detailed information found in the original GTD. Very straightforward, with excellent .pdf’s and easy-to-use tools for applying the GTD methodology. Thank you for creating this condensed and easy-to-understand version of GTD! I am ready to roll! PS - Every teen should be taught this methodology… it would help them develop an amazing skillset for life!!

It might even be better than the “adult” version. I bought this for my teen niece to help her with overwhelm and learn how to deal with “stuff.”
I found the content delivery refreshing. It was a great reminder of the practices I had held on to for a decade+ and the ones I’d like to pick up again.
I also liked the quick glossary of terms; remind yourself in 6 minutes or less (brilliance of double speed audio). In short, I recommended to 5 friends within the first 30 minutes of listening!

Not just for teens!

This critical information seems so basic and important, that everyone should be exposed to it, yet in so many other books testimonials are more common than nuggets of truth. Not here. You get everything we all should’ve received in primary school. The core lessons and ideas. The explanation, even if told anecdotally, always relate clearly to the underlying concepts. Good stuff Mr. Allen. Thank you for your work. (I still think the OG Getting Things Done should come with a .pdf! We all like visual aids, David!! Lmfao.)

Basic training, fundamental necessary and compelling

Had great ideas but some of their tips could have been better. For example writing birthdays in a planner your more likely to see it verses a list you’ll ferget ab
