Good book but one narrator sounded a bit nasally

Good book and variety, shared some useful reminders but I was expecting more substance and a step by step guide. Loved the variety of fields, helped me realize the various ways of defining success.

The BEST Book I have Listened to so far on Audible

An absolutely amazing book! Seeing all of the different perspectives and stories with similar core values and recommendations on what it takes to be successful made me astonished with this book. There are so many life lessons and advice that I wish would never end. The narrations were amazing, and the entire book was interesting, from the first seconds about the author until the last individual at the end. Do yourself the favor and listen to this book!

If you need inspiration and clear view

When I used to read articles about great businesses, world-shaping inventions, tremendous achievements, and so forth, I would picture super-successful lucky people who were born with magnificent wealth, supportive families, myriads of connections, and a guarantee of admission to an Ivy League college.

I always wondered about the early vision and mission of those lucky, successful people.

Upon gaining my own life experience, I came to realize that what I imagined in my youth was the total opposite of reality.

Instead, the path to success is one of self-doubt, brutal self-examination, and multiple mistakes along the way—but also one of constant perseverance.

I was completely immersed in Getting There: A Book of Mentors and the author’s ability to portray the pathway of important people of our time through the art of interview. It’s such a hopeful book for readers at any stage of life, but especially for those who are searching for their own path.

Most memorable were the stories of Warren Buffet, with included the life philosophy and wisdom of his father; the author of the Diary of a Wimpy Kid books; and the fashion model with the socks! These are emotional, human descriptions with practical tips at the end of each chapter.

Eye Opening

Makes your realize that people who have achieved great things struggle like everyone else. Very humbling.

A book of insight

I suggest listening to this book with an ongoing document to take notes. Several thoughts will come to mind and don't let then slip away. It is a very good book!

I loved the story. Narration wasn't perfect

I loved the story and will look for more books by the author but the one female narrator sounded like she had a blocked nose which caused an uneasy feeling and discomfort even though she was good. I did however enjoy the overall narration. Most narrators were brilliant
