This is Switzerland's second largest city (behind Zürich), with 178,900 residents, and is heavily influenced by its French neighbors to the west and south. If you could sum up Geneva, Lausanne, Fribourg & Western Switzerland Travel Adventures in three words, what would they be?

Like Being There.

Who was your favorite character and why?

The mountain goat.

Which scene was your favorite?

The descriptions of the avalanche forecasts and the avalanche fence.

Any additional comments?

This is a very good travel guide with detailed descriptions of both the main hot spots and the lesser known spots. It gives very good information on how to experience Switzerland like a native. This is the best performance I have heard so far from the narrator, Adam Zens. I enjoyed listening to this book even though I have no plans to visit Switzerland. Listening to it is like taking a much cheaper vacation there.

I really wanted to like this audio book

I tried to listen, but after an hour and a half, could no longer. The information presented is good, but very difficult to follow in audio form. The narrator has no inflection in their voice and very difficult to listen to. Having each website address, telephone and fax number spelled out, you totally lose the big picture of what is even being presented. Perhaps this never should have been an audio book.
