August, 1983. Denton is preparing for a wedding. DS Waters should be on top of the world with less than a week to go until he marries Kim Myles. But the Sunday before the big day, the body of a young woman is found in the churchyard, and their wedding venue becomes a crime scene.

He's been staying with DC Sue Clarke but with a baby to take care of and the imminent arrival of her mother, she's given him his marching orders. But as best man to Waters, he's got a responsibility to solve the mystery of the dead girl in the churchyard.

Okay but not as good as wingfield who was the originator of the series.

This writer doesn’t have quite the wry humorous touch of the creator of the series.

Narrator was excellant

Narration really adds so much to the enjoyment and understanding of the characters. Its unclear if James Henry is a pen name of R D Wingfield or a completely different author because this story blends so well into the other Jack Frost stories. Stephen Thorne the British reader is excellant.

If u love Frost like I do....

Then you"ll enjoy this read but it doesn't hold a candle to the original author.
