An exceptional read and highly recommended! Gary gets you to the root of issues and the core of self-analysis where one can find solutions where none existed. Truly enlightening.

Very good

This is my first listen or read of Gary Smalley. I have followed Gary Chapman's advice for a long time and was pleasantly pleased w/Gary Smalley. I learned alot from this audiobook. I do suggest it to anyone who has trouble w/anger in their marriage. I find I get frustrated easily w/my husband and found great advice to follow here. I will definitely find more from Dr. Smalley.

If you can get past the conservative and uncritical interpretation of the Bible, and the subtle anti-woman and anti-pleasure attitude of the authors, there are some practical, helpful steps to consider in overcoming anger. It's much too long because it is repetitive and illustrated with anecdotes throughout.

This restored my relationship with my wif and kids. I believe the tools discussed have rhe power to change my generational sins by the power of Jesus Christ!

Anger is an anchor

It's hard to understand and recognize anger in yourself. This book can help you let it go. Anger holds you in place stick like a ship that's dropped anchor, but releasing it is like pulling up the anchor freeing ones self to move forward in any direction. Great read. If you are a grudge holder, this book is definitely for you!

Biblical Christian approach to anger management

If you are a Biblical Christian, and think in terms of sin, atonement, think of God as Jesus Christ and want everything explained in terms of Biblical verses, then this book is for you. If you derive your core beliefs from the Bible, this book is perfect for you.If you are looking for the best anger management book out there, this is not it. In terms of giving psychological advice, that understands nuance and depth of feelings in relationships, this book won't do that. Its pretty mediocre in that regard. Some case studies and answers to questions send to the authors from people going through challenges, I did find useful though. But I'm not Christian, and I mostly listened to this book because I already spent the money and wanted to get my money's worth.

This book addresses some many of the issues and concerns. Finally some answers to many questions.

really enjoyed listening to the book sometimes I don't have a lot of time to read and this way I can get the message within me and this book answered a lot of questions on anger is truly a wonderful book if you are truly looking on how to handle your anger, not someone else's anger but your very own anger issues then I highly recommend this book
