Terrible audio

Sounds like it was recorded in a tin can. Narrator was over the top. Story was not Kappes’s best either.

Freshly Ground Murder - mistakes were made

Cute book but the change in narrator (from previous books) was jarring. Also , the quality of the recording is dreadful. It’s like it was recorded in a hotel room closet.

Great light "read" with characters you like

Love the series! Light, entertaining, perfect with a vup of coffee on my deck! However the audible production for this book is really bad. There are technical problems and narrator problems. I may finish it on my Kindle. The next one in the series is much better from an audible perspective and the first two were great.

Wish they would redo this audible version.

Quick and easy to follow

The narration was a bit off but the story was good. I don’t like when the narrators fake accents and voices.

Love this series can’t wait until the near book is offered in Audible, please keep writing this series.

Garage recording?

The story was fine, but that’s it. It was kind of sappy and syrupy and short… And it was like you tried to do it in a hurry to get it out for Christmas. I’m not sure, but the audio recording was such poor quality! And it seems as though you don’t have an editor because sentences were repeated a couple of times each and it sounds like you recorded it in your garage or your bathroom. The girl who voices it has a decent enough voice, but the recording is just so bad!

The story wasn't too involved, and was a pleasant easy listen while I am working. Well narrated.

Recording not so great

Not a fan of the performance or the actual sound recording. It sounds amateur and like it was done in someone’s basement. There’s a slight echo too. Very disappointed, especially compared to the rest of Tonya Kappes books.

Terrible audio quality

The audio is terrible and sounds like it was recorded in a bathroom. I thought I would grow accustomed to it, but I didn't. It made it impossible to get into the story because the poor audio quality.

Over the top

Can a narration be too over-the-top? Yes. Had to stop listening, it’s ridiculously peppy. Ugh
