Simply a must-read
An historical fiction that takes place right before the Civil War. This book peeks behind the curtain at the ugliness of slavery and those brave souls who stood up in opposition and we’re willing to risk it all. As the reader, you get plenty of chances to walk a mile in other people shoes, and if you’re anything like me you will ask yourself what would I have done in their shoes. With all that we have going on in the world today, take the time to read this book and you will find perspective to move forward with the eyes of love and compassion.
