Dark romantic suspense thriller!

Pepper Winters is my go to for dark romance, and this is definitely dark. Pay attention to trigger warnings before you dive into this series!! All of that aside, once again Pepper has pulled me into a dark romance with characters who are confusing and there are some significant moral quandaries and beyond-complicated characters. This is book 4 in a series of 7 books and the are cliffies, so only start this book if you are prepared to be all in and read the entire series to get the full story. This is super dark, super trigger-heavy romance with definite consent triggers. Characters leave you questioning everything we are as flawed beings and the complexity of our psyche and the power of choices. I was completely hooked because this Author brilliantly leaves clues to more and more secrets that I NEED to know. I'm writing this as I'm listening to book 5 now. Excellent mystery, thriller, dark romance. I am burning through this series and played 1-more chapter until 4am!

Sarah Puckett & Scott Rider are both excellent narrators and this book done in DUET is very well produced with powerful performances! I love DUET when it's done right, and I love getting lost in the story with truly talented narrators

LOVE THIS SERIES

Gah. This series is just slowly killing me. I’m DYING on these audiobooks. DYYYYING!! I love everything Eleanor Grace, Sully Sinclair and the Goddess Isles!!

Pepper Winters is ONE OF A KIND!

I have read (listened) to 90% of all Pepper Winters books and have yet to find one I didn't like but, this series......OMG is yet my FAVORITE!!!
I couldn't stop listening. I was so engrossed! I wanted to know what was going to happen next, I kept saying to myself, after this drama I'll stop and continue the next day but as soon as that concluded....BAM another heart pounding tear jerking moment.
I 100% reccomend this series!
The only bad part is that audible doesn't have the 5the book! (I hate that they do this with a lot of Pepper Winters...and other...series) You get so engrossed into the story and frantic to continue, to find out what happens just to be disappointed because the next and final book is NOT available on audible!!. I wanted to finish this series and know what happens so badly that I downloaded kindle app and purchased the 5the book ( Fifth the Fury) in this series and read it. I prefer to listen as I can get my daily activities done at the same time but, this series was just that good that I sacrificed my time and sleep to read the 5the book! I also found the 2nd book to The Body Painer on there so yup, as soon as I am done with this review, I'm going to go right to that app and purchase that one and....read!
PLEASE AUDIBLE, GET THE RIGHTS TO ALL THE BOOKS IN EVERY SERIES, DUET OR TRILOGY!! YOU WILL LOSE A LOT OF CUSTOMERS TO OTHERS IF NOT!

Fabulous book and narrators!!!

This book, the whole series is so amazing. It is such a dark, sensual read. It ripped my heart out multiple times only to piece it back together and rip it back out. I can not wait to see the end of Drake. I dont know if I can wait for the next book. I need to know what happens after that ending. Eleanor and Sully have been through so much in this book and need to be ok. Never disappointed with Pepper Winters books keeps you on the end of you seat the whole time and cannot stop listening or reading. I love Sarah Puckett and Scott Rider as the narrators. They do a fabulous job! I love Scott Rider's voice! So anxious for the next book!

Annoying

Jinx was so annoying in this story. So young, naive and whiny. Also not sure of the writers origin but I was tempted to turn the whole audio off and demand refunds when Sully said “All Lives Matter.” Considering when this was published I was disgusted.

Blow your Mind

The more into these series of books I get, the more I want to continue. The characters are Sexy and have so much chemistry between them. This book will blow your mind. Thanks

Introducing the brother from hell, Drake. A great big eff you to Drake. I can’t even review this properly because I cannot tell you anything without spoiling the book. But sweet baby Jesus asleep in the manger, this is epic! My anxiety levels cannot handle all this tension and suspense. I am wrecked. I am destroyed. **rocks in corner**

This story is spellbinding and full of so much pain, suspense, and passion. Pepper Winters is a truly talented storyteller! She is detailed and describes everything with such perfection, it makes it easy to picture the world she has created. She held nothing back in this 4th book. Readers, get ready for a ride that is dark, intense, raw, twisted, exhilarating, exciting, kinky, sexy, dirty, addicting, angsty, explosive, full of internal turmoil, thrilling, and scary in the most scintillating way. A ride that will push your limits and your sanity.

The narration is done in true Duet style. The flow was nothing short of amazing. Sarah Puckett embodies Eleanor and her tenacity, stubbornness, big heart, and unwavering loyalty. Sully is one of the darkest and most alpha characters I have met. Scott Rider couldn’t be more perfect in portraying him. Scott perfectly delivers Sully’s dark, twisted, and complex character. Sarah and Scott ARE Jinx and Sully. Sarah expertly delivers Eleanor’s anger, lust, desire, and emotional turmoil. Scott expertly delivers Sully’s raw emotions that are full of lust, anger, desire, jealousy, internal turmoil, and hardcore alpha male persona. Their duet narration plays out the story in a very realistic way and makes you love the characters even more. When I’m done with this series, I will definitely be searching for more books by these 2 narrators!

Vocal actors save the day!!

Sarah and Scott narrate this book with true professionalism, however...this book had 20% story progression and 80% inner monologue of repetitive self loathing and doubt. In other words, the narrators are the only reason I finished it. Wait until this is offered in a box set, otherwise the price is too high

Most stressful of the 5 books

I needed to get through all the books after 1,2, and 3...this by far, was the most stressful, unpleasant scenes done to the two main characters. It was heart breaking and sad...kept me up and thinking of what was going to happen to both of them. This is by far, one of the best series I have listened to...both narrators are excellent and I immediately was immersed into tropical island, calm and warm sand and beaches with no care and minimal clothing...
I am done with the series...had to buy the ebook of book 5 since audio version is not out...what an ending...perfecto.
