Good Supplemental Read

It took me awhile after finishing the trilogy to get to this book. But after I started, I couldn't stop listening. It was really cool getting back to the story, but from a different perspective. Kudos to Ms. Roth for publishing this, because it's not a common addition to a book series, and was a very refreshing experience.

Way Better than the Movies

Now I get it! I get Four! I felt so much compassion for the young boy that endured his mother's death and cruelty of the father who never nutured him and treated him as a something and not as his son. The book drew me into Four's awakening as he embraced and came to understand his strengths. The movies didn't do Four justice!

Great book!

I love these stories and I love hearing Tobias' thought process.
The voice was odd to me though. Like it didn't feel like Four especially in a couple of spots. But that's just me, probably.

I really liked the book because my favorite group was Amity. This book was really adventurous.

Even though I've never seen the movie I can see the book.and I realm wish I can see the movie cause without it.......its not the same..

I loved this book. What a great storyline and I like that this particular book fills in the gaps. The narrator was great as well.

Must Read!

The voice actor is outstanding! If I read the physical book I probably would have only read it once (although the book itself is very good) but Stanford bring Four alive. It’s as though the character is speaking himself. Highly recommend.

Great!

The writing and performance were very diverting (bad pun intended). 😀 I liked hearing about what happened to Four/Tobias to shape him. There were no new revelations, but this collection of stories did flesh out his backstory. I enjoyed it. There is minimal violence and kissing referenced, but I believe this audiobook to be very suitable and safe for young ears. I highly recommend it for anyone, especially if you like the Divergent series. Happy listening!
