Fun and Sexy Story!

This was my first Krystyna Allyn's book. This is the second book in the Sexy Romantic Standalone Series. Marla and Jared's story is fun, and sexy. The characters are great. Marla is lovely. Jared is handsome, and I like his determination. Their banter are fun, and they share an undeniable chemistry. Sierra Kline and Aaron Shedlock did a great job with the narration.

Enjoyable!

When this got going I was wondering if I was going to like it. I’m not into wham-bam thank you mam stories. After a bit I was pleasantly surprised at how much I like this story and the characters. Jared had a lot of changing and growing to do. I liked who he became with Marla. I almost had to dislike him again later in the book. My favorite character is Oliver. So young but still wanting to look out for his sister. He impressed me at how resourceful he is.

The story here is a good one. I went from liking characters to disliking them at times. There is fun and witty bantering. I did listen to this on audio. Sierra Kline and Aaron Shedlock Are the narrators. They did a good job and helped put feeling into their reading.

It was a fun ride

Picture a young woman sacrificing everything to keep custody of her younger brother and who left her cheating boyfriend, and an ex-playboy who decided to look for his happily ever after after a threesome with his best friend and the woman his best friend wants to marry. That’s one hell of a premise, right? Now imagine how hard it’ll be for them to end up together when you add the cheating boyfriend wanting his girl back and a spoiled woman who can’t take no for an answer, two fabulous villains who want to ruin Marla and Jared’s burgeoning relationship.

It was a fun ride, I enjoyed it. Especially the two villains who, following the tradition, are as stupid as they are mean. And the younger brother, who’s funny and endearingly protective of his sister.

Thumbs up for sizzling hot love scenes that push some boundaries, the expression of true passion. The chemistry between Marla and Jared is over 9000.

My main complain is with the female narrator. I thought she sounded a bit too snobish for a poor hard working latina woman--even though she’s good. The male narrator was good too, and gave life to the arrogant side of Jared. But he didn’t do much for me either.

Jared is the man that always gets what or who he wants. But noticing all his friends are starting to settle down he starts to rethink what or who he wants. She has no interest or time for men especially after the last jerk. Jared is persistent and the chemistry between them is off the charts. Sierra Kline does a very nice job with the ladies voices and I totally enjoyed it, but I personally was not a fan of her male voice. Aaron Shedlock did an amazing job narrating the story and was super enjoyable.

Finishing in the emotional roller coaster ride

This is my first time listening to Krystyna’s work and I am an instant fan. This story kicks you in feels and you will feel all the emotions the characters feel thanks to the amazing narrators. I would definitely recommend this for those who enjoy diluted females who need to get a grip on realty (not the main character) and a girl who is struggling to stay afloat emotionally while taking care of a younger sibling. It kept me wondering who things will play out many times and each time it was a relief.

You never know what is going to happen in an elevator! Marla and Jared steam up the ride, but Marla doesn't even know him! Now she can't get this stranger out of her mind. She is hesitant when it comes to relationships, so seeking him out for pleasure would be fun, right? But when things turn serious, and Jared is determined to make Marla his, will she be willing to give him those three words? Krystyna Allyn does it again, with the second book in this series, giving us hot, steamy passionate scenes and a couple that you can't help but root for. I love their banter and chemistry, but I really found the secondary characters just as charming. Marla's brother had me smiling with his sarcasm every time he spoke! Plus the evil villains make it all the more delicious! This book is very entertaining!

Sierra Kline and Aaron Shedlock bring this gem to life. Marla is quite a character. Kline personifies Marla with her self confidence issues, yet finds an inner vixen. Jared is a combination of personality traits, and Shedlock gets them all perfectly. He is the seducer and the man on a mission as he sheds his past. It's all there in the voices. These two seasoned storytellers get it and bring it all to the table with their amazing narration.

I enjoyed listening/reading this book. The narration was done really well and the writing is very entertaining. The closeness and strong bonds between all the characters in this makes the book so fun to read. For anyone who is looking for a boom with some sneaky schemes and a little bit of nautiness, look no further, this book has all you need.
