Sam Hayes thought she'd moved on.

It's been eight years since Jess crashed into her life before slipping away, and four years since they tore each other apart for good. Now Sam's within reach of her ultimate goal: selling her software company and proving herself in the tech industry. All she needs to do is integrate her software with a new financial firm, lock in the deal, and walk away with everything she's worked for.

But on day one, everything unravels. The person overseeing the project is her childhood best friend—someone she hasn't seen since her mother's death. A living reminder of the life she barely managed to escape. And to twist the knife even deeper, that best friend just happens to be Jess's current girlfriend.

Determined to stick it out, Sam forces herself to focus—until she's dragged back into Jess' orbit when they're both caught up in the whirlwind of their mutual friend, Scarlett's, wedding. Between dress fittings, late-night parties, and quiet moments that linger too long, Sam and Jess find themselves colliding once again, forced to confront the broken pieces of their past.

Now, with everything she's worked toward at risk, Sam must face what she's truly willing to sacrifice—and whether a future with Jess is something she can hold onto, or something she's bound to lose all over again.

This time, for good.

Everything about this was perfect. I wouldn’t have changed anything. It was realistic and it was all about the journey. It was perfect

Prob one of the best sequels I’ve come across

I just finished ‘Finding Jess’ by Nicole Maser. I loved Lori’s performance! Lori Prince nailed Sam’s angst and Jess’ reluctance perfectly (a little too perfectly as I definitely wanted to throttle each character at times lol).

The story itself was really good. The distance the characters feel from each other was well-written and relatable. I felt the frustration, the yearning, the hoping, and the hesitation. The push and pull dance Nicole Maser kept them in throughout the book made the ending all the more satisfying.

Angsty (and I love it)

Lori Prince narration makes all the difference. These characters pull every emotion you never thought you could feel. Love will always prevail!

frustrating and yet satisfying.

This was a wonderful continuation to Sam and Jess’s story and I adore Nicoles ability to stroke the heartstrings in her writing. Lori did an incredible job narrating as always! (my favorite sapphic narrator)

Love is never lost.

I do love the story and the plot line, this author is good, I especially love her very first book, and Lori Prince is an excellent narrator and really makes the story pop.
For me in this second book of the series, I just felt like it was slower than an already slow burn. A few times I could of seen where the story could of been unstressed, and the issue resolved, or the drama could be a little less. It was like it was almost purposefully looking for an issue so it could drag it out longer. Still a good read nonetheless.

Long Stretched love story

The author reuses moments a lot and once i caught on i was irritated. Sam never seemed interested and Jess was putting in all effort and the only one being vulnerable. I don’t think Sam is meant to be like that for the entire story but thats what it felt like. Too many scenes that were throwbacks to the first book, this is a sequel not a retelling of the original. It was fine but after reading Hearing Red, I expected more and a lot better from the author. Also the narrator was slightly off on moments. The way she was playing out the dialogue didn’t match in certain moments. It’s an okay story if you are bored at work but very mediocre if you are expecting a good story about lesbians finding each other after years of on and off relationships. Smut was insane (good) but that cant be the only good part in a story.

Decent
