Ahnjii still has a mission to kill King Dior but life on earth is complicated. An eight foot bird-man cryptid breaks into Ahnjii’s apartment attacking her and looking for Woo, who had hidden in the ceiling. Her Khimmer armor is able to protect her but the attack brings up a lot of questions and danger. Trying to protect Woo, Ahnjii takes a friend’s offer to get out of town but not everyone can be trusted. Khimmer and Ahnjii fight their way through problems, creatures, and fae, including trying to keep Tyler safe.

The Khimmer armor is so versatile it’s amazing. From providing Ahnjii with knives, armor, definitions, jewelry and pronunciations, not to mention warnings.
Ahnjii just wants to get back to Tyler, have some good Pho, and snuggle with Woo but there is a lot to take care of before that can happen.

An adventure. Certainly not the earth I know. I can’t image what will happen next but since this series is still free as part of the Audible subscription, I’ll continue to follow.
🎧 narrated by Christine Mascott, the audiobook does a fantastic job of bringing the action to life.
