A good sequal

In part two of this trilogy our protagonist comes into her own. And all the baking metaphors really stir my sweet tooth. If you didn't read the first novel in the series this book could be very confusing so I recommend you start at the beginning and work your way through in series order.

Alena's next adventure

Alena is adjusting to her new life, while becoming more comfortable in her own skin. A new hero, demigod Theseus, is sent to kill her. Luring Alena's family and friends away from her is only part of his plan. There are also the rival vampires set against her. Meanwhile, Alena is trying to divorce her loser husband, prove that she still exists , and is trying not to lose everything that she owns.

Great Series

Different but still very good. This book picks up were 1 left off. The main character continues her new Romance with the bad boy vampire boss while also advocating for the rights of supernaturals in her city. It's an uphill battle but she finally starts to get the rights she deserves as a person.
