Yeah, but nah...
This Famous five story is a really good story, but the narrator completely ruins it.

Great story, terrible narration
This is one of my favourite Famous Five stories, with the five hunting for a secret passage, a lost, ancient castle and hidden treasure. Unfortunately this is one of the only books in the series that isn't narrated by Jan Francis. Instead, Sarah Greene races through the narration, ignoring punctuation and talking so fast I kept feeling like I needed to take a deep breath! She also doesn't do different voices for the different characters. She reads the whole story in the same voice as all the characters, which is a bit disappointing, particularly when Jan Francis has distinct voices for each character. Also, this recording seems to have a number of problems - it often cuts out and repeats sentences or skips a sentence ahead.
