Finished in 1 day. Excellent!

I read this book in one day and enjoyed it the whole way through. The narrator was excellent, the story was intriguing, and overall it was a great mystery that unfolded. There are some adult scenes so reader beware. With that said, I would recommend this to anyone who loves a good mystery novel.

Assumptions coupled with complacency...

Not my favorite from Stone... but also not as predictable as I expected. in my best facetious voice, "what can go wrong when you settle for the hot guy that got you pregnant too young?" The narrator didn't do it for me on this one...

Slightly predictable...

Still not sure how the title of the book comes into play with the story line but still a decent read. The main character frustrated me with her ups/downs and double standards. Overall though she is telling a story that many women can relate too.

Surprisingly complex keeps you constantly thinking

I was completely surprised by the ending. This book was well-written. I especially liked the way the author pulled you into the story; also the perspective that the author took to narrate the story from Veronica and how realistic a portrayal it was. Not everyone is perfect and everyone certainly has their own faults to deal with and stuff they do not want people to see.I didn't read much of the description of this book before reading the book itself so I didn't know what to expect. This story kept me captivated and had a few turns along the way that also kept me wondering. I enjoyed this listen and recommend it.

Predictable but

I liked the writing and it was engaging . Keeping this mostly for me to remember what I’ve listened to

I absolutely loved this book..The story was very interesting and kept me on the edge of my seat..I definitely would recommend

Too many similes

Geez... not everything has to be like something else. Story was good but dragged and it seemed like the author was looking for opportunities to use “vocabulary” words.

New who really did it by the middle of the book but I hate not finishing a book.glad I did the ending was good.
