USA Today bestselling author Claudia Burgoa invites you back to the small town of Kentbury with this swoony novella where frenemies become lovers and the failed one-night stands might last for more than a season.

Everything is falling apart.

I just got fired—by my father.

My boyfriend decided I wasn’t good enough—during my Grandma’s funeral.

That hot guy I met at the bar—I didn’t get one kiss from him.

All I have left is to start a new life.

But before I embark into the unknown, I head to Kentbury.

Someone has to warn my paternal grandmother that her son wants to leave her destitute.

And who do I find instead?

Tall, hot, and delicious Bishop Harris.

My failed one-night stand.

He’s trying to run me out of town.

But between the autumn festivals, apple picking, and hard cider, things get a lot more interestingI go from trying to avoid the small town to wondering if I can spend more than Fall in Kentbury.

I loved returning to the charming town of Kentbury, in this enemies to lovers romance! Bishop and McKay have a chance meeting in Boston and after too many drinks, Bishop helps McKay get home safely. McKay wakes up to start her journey to Kentbury to find her grandmother and then to travel the world. Bishop loves his life in Kentbury and is very protective of it and all the close knit residents. When he meets McKay again, he is afraid she doesn't have the best intentions toward her grandmother. But McKay is tired of her cold, greedy family and wants to distance herself from them and get to know the grandmother she never knew and then get to know herself. As they are thrown together for small town festivities, the heat that started in Boston becomes even hotter. They share some passionate encounters, wanting more. But Bishop has been burned before, so when McKay is leaving to travel the world, will that be the end of these star crossed lovers? I just loved this heartwarming and steamy romance. I fell hard for Bishop and McKay, their chemistry was electric, and I cheered for their HEA.
Lee Samuels and Grace Grant were brilliant as Bishop and McKay, delivering a performance that was completely addictive. Samuels' expressive voice showed Bishop's fun and charming side, as well as his vulnerabilities, making him even more swoony. Grant shined portraying McKay's growth from only wanting to make others happy to a strong, independent woman. I really enjoyed both their abilities to bring these characters to life and make me love Bishop and McKay even more.
This romance melted my heart instantly with it's fabulous characters, heartfelt emotions and beautiful storyline. I was completely captivated and couldn't put it down!

Claudia Burgoa delivers a swoony, seasonal novella with Fall in Kentbury, perfectly encapsulating the charm of a small-town romance built on the dynamic of frenemies-to-lovers. OMckay arrives in Kentbury after a string of bad luck—fired by her father, dumped at her grandma’s funeral, and needing to warn her grandmother about a looming family crisis. She's ready for a fresh start, but finds herself immediately crossing paths with the last person she expected: the "tall, hot, and delicious" Bishop Harris, her failed one-night stand.

Bishop's initial attempts to run her out of town create wonderful, sparkling tension. Watching these two go from reluctant frenemies to something much hotter amid the backdrop of autumn festivals, apple picking, and hard cider is a delight. The book is short, satisfying, and full of heart, making you question right alongside the heroine whether this quick trip should turn into a permanent move.

The Audio Experience
The audiobook is a fantastic way to experience this cozy romance, featuring dual narration by Grace Grant and Lee Samuels.

Grace Grant is perfectly cast as the heroine. She captures the character’s mix of vulnerability after a rough week and her sharp wit as she battles Bishop and the small-town politics. Her voice brings an approachable warmth that makes the listener instantly connect with the protagonist’s emotional turmoil and eventual awakening.

Lee Samuels delivers a solid performance as Bishop Harris. His voice effectively conveys the hero's initial gruffness and his underlying protectiveness and attraction. The contrast between his stern attempts to push the heroine away and the undeniable desire in his internal monologues comes through clearly in his performance.

The narrators seamlessly shift between the humorous banter and the sizzling moments, making the book a great binge-listen. If you love a small-town story with high-stakes family drama, second-chance energy, and an undeniably cozy atmosphere, this is a wonderful audiobook choice.

Claudia Burgoa has such a wonderful collection of intertwining families. This is no exception to her writing plans. I love how the characters meet and then reconnect. The miscommunication trope isn't one of my favorites, but this one is more of a mis-assumption issue. I love the characters, of course, but I wish there was a little more depth. Since this is a shorter book, I felt like I was missing out on some of the MCs backstories. Maybe they'll pop up later in another book.

Thank you for the copy, this is my honest opinion. Please be aware of any trigger warnings, as your mental health is most important.
