Resumen del Editor

Do you ever struggle with matters of faith? Or wonder why you believe what you do (or don't), and whether it really matters? Are we always (or ever) able to simply choose what we believe? If not, what impact does that have on our ability to have faith, if any? Must genuine faith always be free from doubt? What if you're just honestly unsure about it all? Can one truly be both a Christian and an agnostic at the same time? If so, how? And what does it really mean to have faith, anyways?

In Faith Seeking Belief, Bryan N. Smith presents an academic treatise in analytic philosophy of religion which seeks to wrestle with precisely such questions while also offering a fresh approach to answering them. Ultimately arguing that authentic faith can be, and in fact often times is, expressed even in the absence of belief, he concludes that Christian agnosticism is a plausibly viable option which may not only provide significant benefits for both apologetics and evangelism, but may also offer much needed encouragement and hope for seekers and believers who find themselves plagued with doubts.

Engaging, provocative, and full of insight, Faith Seeking Belief presents a timely and thought-provoking perspective on the matter which is sure to pique the interest of contemporary philosophers, theologians, and laypersons alike.

Very Interesting but hard to follow in this format

I enjoyed it though I feel like this style of book is better read than listened to because of the format. The author presents his argument mostky in the forms of equations and nearly half of it is him reading equations like "if x equals y than z must be true" and referring different statements in acronyms that were earlier mentioned which I found a bit challenging to follow. Overall I still enjoyed it but at parts like this I found frustrating and I felt I needed to keep going back to hear a couple times to look up the reference. It's like trying to learn math without any visuals. I found the point of view and his insights very interesting and may purchase the actual book to read.

Very difficult

I doubt anyone without a PhD in philosophy will be able to understand this audiobook.

The argument presented changed my life

This book is better read than listened to. With that said, this book presents an agreement that changed my view on faith. It opened my mind to a faith that I feel has strengthened my walk with god.
