what a fantastic book. well written lot's of action great characters you will want to know about. the romance is not over done. the back story's on the characters come throughout the book at the right time loved how that was done. the performance was done very very well without a doubt I will be listening to more done by Chelsea Stevens. can't wait for more by Jenn Windrow overall very good don't hesitate lol oh beware you won't want to stop listening.

Jenn Windrow has a great series in the making

Strong female lead, good storyline, the characters are personable, relatable and I love all the snark. I can't wait till the next book comes out.

Enjoyable tale with great narration

This book is an entry in the Alexis Black series and hits upon a ton of fun and entertaining story beats that urban fantasy fans have come to love and know. We get a wise-cracking main character, a good amount of paranormal races combating each other both in a political spectrum and more viscerally. A good cast of characters, set pieces, twists all paced well and narrated very well by Chelsea Stephens.

Overall an exciting and entertaining entry in a series I look forward to continuing. Jenn Windrow's urban fantasy series is enjoyable and I recommend any urban fantasy fans to check it out.

Fantastic Story

I did not read book one and I wish I had because this stroy was sooooo good! I was sucked in from the start and had a hard time putting this story down because I wanted to know what would happen next. The narrator did a wonderful job with distinguishable character voices and on point pacing. This is a must read for any vampire fan and I promise you wont see the end coming!! I cant wait to see where Alexis journey goes next but in the mean time I am going back and reading Book 1!

Totally enjoyable

The brisk to the point writing moves the story along and makes you cheer from the sidelines . Storyline surprises make you look forward to the next novel.
