ETTD surgically removed my rose-colored glasses

Like getting a colonoscopy or eating my vegetables, I know that swallowing the ETTD pill (though difficult at times) was good for me.

Like the above, it was made infinitely more enjoyable with a stiff drink.

I feel smarter now. I may not actually BE smarter... but I FEEL smarter. Learning how the sausage we know as "Donald Trump" was made, although distressing at first, has made me calmer about the future of our country.

I've learned that the GOP hasn't really lost their collective marbles or sold their souls to the devil (although Evangelicals actually have). No, the GOP haven't drunk the koolaid, they're simply cowards who can (and most likely will) be voted out.

I hope the leaders of the Democratic party will digest the wisdom Rick Wilson lovingly spoon fed them and use it like Popeye uses spinach.

I effing love this book! I effing love that Rick Wilson narrated it! I effing love how entertaining it is!

In keeping with my food analogy: ETTD is like chicken soup for the disillusioned patriot soul.

Read it, learn it, live it. You'll be glad you did!

Gives me hope

The book as written and performed is magnificent. Listing to the POV of a GOP insider gives me hope that Democrats will learn from all of their mistakes and that the GOP as it stands today will be as extinct as the Whigs.

National tragedy...Trump has ‘swamped the drain’; rather than ‘you know’

Having seen and heard Rick Wilson for a number of years, I bought this Audible book to learn what lies beneath his ‘never Trump’ persona and views. While presented with a certain acerbic good humor, the political crisis that Rick diagnoses is no laughing matter.
The short and longer term damage that the Trump Presidency presents demands citizen action in November. By all Americans.
We are way beyond “Dems” and Republicans. Rick states a tragic crisis is unfolding which is now undeniable.
Republicans must reclaim or reestablish their principles (remember Republican’s principled positions). Now, regrettably, defeating every Republican office holder in the country may remind them of their patriotic duty to the Constitution as Rick encourages. Vote/Vote/Vote🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻

A Must Read if Your Head is Spinning About Trump

As a lifelong Democrat, this book really helps me understand what the hell is going on with our country. Wilson says all the things I feel about Trump and his “tiny, tiny hands” in the most intelligent, no bullshit, snarky, well-informed and hope-inspiring way - all from the pen of a lifelong, never-Trumper Republican. Who knew!

Lessons to follow

Articulate, sarcastic and politically knowledgeable, Rick Wilson gives words of wisdom that need to be heeded by all of us-- both Democrats and Republicans. Constitution, rule of law and country first---not negative seperatest and mean spirited views that divide the United states and do not address the important and vital issues at hand. The Trump administration and followers have damaged this nation both domestically and internationally. We need to wake up and repair the damage while we can.
A must read--or as in my case listen!

He has the best words!!!!!!!!!!

Rick Wilson is a voice in the wilderness trying to warn his party. A party that has abandoned long term visions and ideals for short term political gain. It's a great read, but an even a better listen. His conviction and wit were very cathartic for this weary never trump Republican.

Rick did a fantastic reading

Not only was the book very well done. Rick did a great job narrating it. I enjoyed listening to him so much, I listened twice. I always listen up when he is on MSNBC. Rick, it's time for you to switch sides or start a new party. :) Can't wait to hear his latest update to the book.

There still hope after Trump

Thanks for giving me hope not all is lost there still true Americans regardless of party that will help rebuild america after the nightmare passes....

Sadly, we now live in a world where we too often only consume media that reinforces our views. This book was a witty summation of what I already believed. Some reviewers suggest Trump supporters listen to this - well, that ain’t going to happen. Rick Wilson is a smart man with a cutting wit. I see him frequently on CNN so it was really nice to listen to him without interruptions and arguments. I knocked one star off Rick’s performance only because of a haughty tone of voice although I’m not sure that could be avoided. The book gets high marks for being entertaining as well as informative. And, if by any chance, you can get a Trump supporter to listen ........
