Eusebius and the Development of Christianity Volume 1

For Eusebius, there was no reality without God since He was thought to be the Creator of the universe. And this view is thought to solve the questions that are left behind: What was Christ? What of those who thought that he was a mere man? What of those that thought he was the Roman General Titus?. Eusebius is, therefore, for the Christian, thought to start at the beginning. But is he? What if he was starting at the beginning of a hidden secret, not reality, not true history? What if there is a secret left buried in the past, long forgotten, and long ignored? This secret would be that of the Ebionites who thought that Christ, the savior of Judaea, was a mere man, and that his role in history was to be the model for the Messiah of the Jews, a fictional character?
