Excellent Start of a upcoming Series

I very much enjoyed this Story and how ot progressed. The world building and the various species were well described and filled out. I just wish the next book was already available so I could continue this storyline. The narrator does a very good job with the various characters voices and the entire storyline.

Waiting for book 2!

I enjoyed this read a lot! It reminds me of some Isekai animes and I thoroughly enjoyed the characters and the action. The protagonist is likeable and realistic and is someone the reader cna relate to! Can't say more as to not spoil the book :)

A wild, gritty ride

Received as an audio copy from the narrator to review, this is an honest review. Wonderfully brought to life by narrator Lawrence Stirling Knott, Epyon's Gambit is an immersive epic fantasy adventure that grabs your attention from the start. For the young man Valmont, his love of knowledge could have lead him to becoming a Scholar... at least in another life it would have. Pressed into being a Squire, he never thought surviving a vicious ambush would be the start of a wild, dangerous path. Saved by a mysterious necromancer Epyon and now they creature's apprentice; Val finds himself set upon a series of trials in a foreign world that is serene along with inhabited by vicious beasts. With the company of a summoned familiar named Giovanni, whom possesses a lot of wit and kindness for a corpse and is a benefit for Val to remain alive and to master his fledgling Mage gifts. The more Val discovers of the world he was plunged into, he may never saw himself a champion of others but those that have come to him will help him discover that he can a fiery hero.
