Stewart and Lennie reflect on what they have learned about their father; his impact on the world and the legacy he left behind. Was he a hero, or did his interference in Middle East affairs sow the seeds for future conflict and bloodshed?

Who says history isn’t fun? A performer from the rock group the Police tells about his father Miles Copeland who worked for the CIA at a very interesting time in US history. The rotating cast of the actual people involved along with actors and full sound effects made this entertaining. I only wish they had played more of the rock music by the Police, but Stewart Copeland Is evidently modest about his own achievements. While I heartily recommend this audiobook for home listening, it might not be the best for listening while driving any distance, as you have to begin a new episode after each less than 30 minute segment. In general it’s a fun audiobook!

Entertaining and informative

An absolutely fascinating series! Thank you Stewart and family and Audible for bringing us a personal view of what it was like to have a family member inside the C.I.A. from pretty much day one. Give it a listen. Great stuff!

I found the story of Miles Copeland fantastic when told through the eyes of Stewart, Lennie and Miles. It was told with reverence, honesty, and integrity not only to his Dad but to the world in which he operated. Stew needs to tell more stories - his voice and delivery are tailored to this format. Absolutely loved it wish there were more to hear.

What a great surprise....

I enjoyed listening to this series until the final one, the 9th. Up until that point it was entertaining, interesting and at times captivating. I learned some interesting things. Unfortunately the 9th seemed to be from a different series. It took a significantly more serious turn. I felt the historians negative statements were not necessary. The politics seemed intense. I actually stopped listening because I didn’t want to “ruin” my enjoyment of it until that point.
It took me a bit of time to get adjusted to hearing music, eating (chewing lol) etc in the beginning. But the story telling was good and I’m glad I continued. (Even the music in 9 changed significantly- darker)

Good series until the end

Stewart and Lennie created the feeling of being there as they grew up. Their father’s story told in an entertaining way yet you can hear some of the emotions the two of them have had to work through after learning of his secret.

Note to Audible: I agree with the other review, it would be great if the episodes played automatically.
