What would you do if you lost power, water, and the protection of law enforcement, all in an instant - and you knew it was never coming back? How would you and your loved ones endure?
The world is destroyed in a devastating nuclear attack. Now, Chuck and his family must learn to survive in a harsh new dystopia in Fairbanks, Alaska.
Retired Marine and survivalist Chuck Nagy, his brilliant and brave wife, Madison, and his remarkable children are thrown from the modern world into a dystopian wasteland in the span of a few heartbeats. Now, it’s up to Chuck to build a new life in a post-apocalyptic world that becomes more dangerous every day.
This is an omnibus edition of the three titles in Craig Martelle's End Times Alaska series.
Endure:
Fairbanks, Alaska, is destroyed in a devastating nuclear attack. Now, Chuck Nagy and his family must learn to survive in a harsh new dystopia. What would you do if you lost power, water, and the protection of law enforcement all in an instant - and what if you knew it was never coming back? How would you and your loved ones endure?
Run:
After enduring the holocaust that destroyed Fairbanks, one family gathers the remaining survivors to build a new society. When they begin to thrive, the faceless enemy returns, destroying their new community. They flee for their lives, driving dog teams across 300 miles of frozen Alaskan wilderness. With babies, children, and almost no food, who will get to them first - the Russians or the winter cold?
Return:
The war is over, the treaties signed, and Chuck, Madison, and their community of survivors return to Alaska with the same mission they’ve always had - to live life to the fullest in a new world of their own making. But that means they must confront the Russian invaders yet again as the enemy tries to establish its own settlement, and the Nagys’ world turns upside down once again - maybe for the final time.

All the "prepare books " list Alaska as being last as a place to be. That's because it's a hard place for the
chicoco, a native word meaning new commer.
But as the books describes its a place rich in food and resources if you know where to look.
Alaskans are proud of they're self reliance and doly
so. I'm too old now to move back. These books gave me a taste of home.
The reader did a good job I honestly can't think of anything negative to say about the book.
Enjoy......while I dream of home.
Great, from beginning to end.

Alaskan life done very interestingly. Extremes in weather, sunlight, growing season, hot springs, outhouses, hunting, snow mobiling, etc.
There are evil people, the two murderers, or the toxic, John, and how they were gotten rid of - good episodes.
Really enjoyed the episodes involving helping others while keeping own family and community safe.
I recommend this book set.
First read 2018. Reread July 2020. Nice family story.

Well that time has finally arrived.
Even though I finished the four books over a year ago. I know, I absolutely suck!
At first I had a little difficulty getting into the first novel, but that quickly faded as the difficulties and harsh reality of trying to live in Alaska were greatly detailed and explained.
And that is when the state was not hit by a surprise nuclear attack!
The four books detail life in the aftermath of the attack, the consequences of choices and actions, and the mystery behind the attack and how the lower 48 fared.
I learned a great deal about life in Alaska as a result and found the characters to be intriguing and likeable - which is something that can be difficult to achieve time and again.
At times, especially during the final book, I found that I wanted more, to see the adventures to continue with the main characters, but at the same time I have to say that Craig did the right thing and ended it where he did. Sometimes if a series goes on too long it gets not only tedious, but repetitive and downright boring.
Thankfully that is not the case with this series.
Excellent novels and well worth the read or listen, depending on your format!
LONG overdue!
