Insects can be large or small, such as small spiders and larger scorpions. Even ants can be deadly under the right conditions, so discussing the proper emergency care when you are in a troubling location and need to keep someone alive will ensure you know what to do in a survival situation.
Under the animal bites section, you will learn about some of the most dangerous snakes, jellyfish, fish, and even one insect because the book discusses a parasite that is actually the dangerous culprit. Parasites don't really fit under insects or animals, but because it is one of the most dangerous things that can attack us, it is worth mentioning.
