Sometime we don’t realize we need that little extra in our life until it’s given. My friends mom gave her this book as a gift. She then passed it along to her friends as a gift. It’s a wonderful eye-opening devotional with stories of real life with every chapter. I hope you find your something extra! Your worth it!!

A must add to our daily devotions

Lysa has a gift of seeing God in the routine and mundane. She turns her personal struggles into our encouragement. I spent a couple days at the beach listening to this book on tape. I'm going home more in love with Jesus. Thank you Lysa

Very true

I am a big fan of Lysa. I have read this book, but listening to it really made an impression in my mind. My eyes of my heart have been opened. She helps me learn how to pray better and even out loud. Understanding God’s word through any of Lysa’s books and podcasts has made my life so different. I am not fighting flesh, I am fighting Satan.

I truly enjoy Lysa Terkeurst books. I prefer when she reads them. She adds more personality and her voice is more exciting. this is just my opinion. I truly enjoyed the book.

Lysa honestly shares struggling points that I am challenged with. Her walking these through to feeling accepted and Embraced by God is forever encouraging to me.

Not as impactful as others…

I’m normally a huge fan of Lysa Terkeurst, but sadly, I just wasn’t blown away by this devotional. Ginny Welsh’s style of reading was hard to get used to, even though I eventually did by the end of the book.

The content was good, but nothing compared to her devotional, “Seeing Beautiful Again.” This struck me as, perhaps, an earlier writing. She would come up with a small saying in a chapter to help you remember a concept, but often they felt lacking, too much of a pat answer. They were quips for emotions and concepts much too complicated for anything short of a full 10-word sentence.

The beauty of an audio devotional, however, is the ability to hear truth and true concepts being spoken out loud to you. Friends are good for this, but sometimes, you need reminders on a moment by moment basis. I like to think that God gave us His Word and tools like this so we could have truth spoken to us on such a moment by moment basis. It was still encouraging and uplifting for my soul.
