the book is life

a little too much over explaining you don't need to count the seconds between the dialing of the phone call

This book really ties everything together!

I love the whole series, and getting this backstory was icing on the cake. Well written and narrated, and can't wait for the next one!

Excellent Read

The build up of characters and their relationships while also unveiling the plot is marvelous, more than I excepted it to be. I was unsettled a bit when Mr. Schott decided to make this a branching series instead of continue The Game, but as the story unfolded, I see why he did so. It was truly amazing and I cannot wait to read the next one.

This felt like The Origin story…

Having listened to The Game of Life series, this story really brought me back to the universe. Now I need to listen to the original series again and try to connect the characters. It has been some time since I read The Game is Life series.

Aside from the name and bottle caps, virtually zero connection to the game is life series

The editing was terrible, often the last half syllable of words is cut off and there were even a few name errors where the narrator called the character a similar but different name. As for the story itself, it was all build up with practically zero culmination, I realize this is a branch of of the game is life series, but it's also what that series has become. The first few books were exceptional, everything since has just been more complicating and build up with no questions answered, no continuity, and just feels like a money grab from the fans that want to see the series conclude. Very disappointed in what it seems to have become and where the story has led, or not led.
