Maybe I have an overactive imagination, but the hot guy next door totally gives off serial killer vibes. Why else would he know how long it takes to bleed out from a wound? The romantic arc remained one-note although caliente at times. Their relationship has appeared to settle into a rhythm of a couple who have been together for several years instead of months. I hope we see more tension outside of the bedroom for this couple.
I loved the ensemble of characters that the author has brought together. There are even cameos from his other series. if you haven't done so already you need to check them out.
The narrator's performance was significantly better than the first audiobook.

Hope the series expands on the dragons.
