ECHOES OF THE PAST 1970
Books 1–3 The First Arc (This collection contains the previously published Books 1, 2, and 3)

It was never supposed to change history.
It was only supposed to work.
In 2370, three scientists activate an experimental time machine. Something goes catastrophically wrong. They crash into small-town Maine, 1970—stranded centuries from home with a dead machine and no way back. Worse: two of them wake as children, forced to navigate a world of chalkboards, Cold War paranoia, and rules they've already forgotten how to follow.
At first, it seems like an accident.
But as the years crawl forward, cracks appear in the surface of things. Hidden structures beneath ordinary ground. Signals that shouldn't exist. Dreams that feel less like imagination and more like echo. Evidence mounting that their arrival wasn't random—that time itself has been waiting.
Across three novels, Echoes of the Past: The First Arc traces the slow, terrible unraveling of a truth buried deeper than any failed experiment.
The future they left behind may already be collapsing. History is under attack from forces they can't see. And the war that will one day annihilate humanity may have begun long before anyone knew to look for it.
As reality fractures, the scientists are pulled toward one another—and toward a silent teenager named Neo, whose very existence defies explanation. He doesn't know why he's there. He doesn't know what he is.
But time responds to him.
This bundle collects Books 1–3, the complete opening arc of the Echoes of the Past saga—the accident, the discoveries, and the events that lead to Neo's arrival.
The experiment failed.
The consequences are only beginning.
Includes exclusive bonus artwork, available only in this bundle.

The good: pretty solid time travel story. I enjoyed the premise of the plot. The characters are pretty well fleshed out and have their own motives, especially after the first part.

The less good: Minor issues with geography (1970s Maine) and the level of build up in rural communities then. Not a deal breaker, and probably wouldn't have even noticed if I didn't know the area and have an idea of what it would have been like in the 70s. These inconsistencies only really became noticeable later in the series.

The less less good: There is a number of casual references to things that did not exist or were very different in the early 1970s period of the book, such a Gameboy. This happens more often later into the series than it does at the beginning. Again, not a deal breaker, it gives a more lates 80s vibe more than a early 70s. But there is a bunch of little things that add up to feel the author assumed that not much has changed culturally in the 50 years since the 70s and that other things were exaggerated for effect. The repeated use of dramatic spanking as a punishment being such an example.

Solid time travel plot, minor issues with setting and technology.
