Took a while

It took me a while to get into this one. It’s very character driven which I liked. I enjoyed the evolution of their friendships.

Perfect beach read

Perfect, summer beach read! Loved the story of forever friendship of the girls, despite their difficulties.

Loved it!

Beautiful story about lifelong friendships and their impact on life itself. Loved every minute of it.

Breathy Narrator

Struggled listening to this narrator. Seemed she can’t take a deep breath to the pace she was reading to the point gave my own breathing tightness. I got through it but it was a struggle.

Predictable and not enjoyable

100% predictable and narration was grating. Not enjoyable. This book is not recommended by me.

“She said”

This book was boring. The plot was not believable. There was no huge conflict or climax. The characters were very one dimensional.

Slow and action-less

This book is essentially about four childhood friends who grow into unhappy women in their own rights. The whole story is surrounded around one event that occurred when they were teenagers. I listened to the audiobook and couldn’t connect to any of the characters or get into the storyline. I was actually shocked at the ending was the ending because it was that anti-climatic. Maybe I’m just grumpy because my view doesn’t match that of most other readers. It just needed more… it was way too drawn out for what ended up happening.

Depressing

Wasn't a fan of this book, wanted to like it. It felt long and boring at most parts and just overall depressed characters.
