The Cult Classic Returns!

One day, it starts raining-and never stops. Global super-storms decimate the planet, eradicating most of mankind. Pockets of survivors gather on mountaintops, watching as the waters climb higher and higher. But as the tides rise, something else is rising, too.

Now, in the midst of an ecological nightmare, the remnants of humanity face a new menace, in a battle that stretches from the rooftops of submerged cities to the mountaintop islands jutting from the sea. What hope does an already-devastated mankind have against this new supernatural adversary.

The old gods are dead. Now is the time of the Earthworm Gods....

Deadite Press is proud to present this Author's Preferred Edition of Earthworm Gods, including an all-new, lengthy afterword by the author recounting the novel's inspiration, creation, and history.

so far I like it out halfway through, earl is perfect. the VA kind of has a lisp or something, some of the words he says sounds weird, and it repeats certain lines occasionally, and at one point he even blows a raspberry because he flubbed a line, and did it again. it's funny when it happens.

good story, VA has a lisp? I dunno

This was a good horror Novell, I just didn’t like the voice of the person reading it, I probably would have liked it more If I had read it instead.

Good

What's not to like? Unsurmountable and vague menace, mass casualties, crazy neighbors, an old salty dog, Appalachian OG, gigantic farting worms little kids stabbed by crazy survivors and an atrium. Oh... there are airplane crashes, poo and at least one naughty part.

Disturbing, in a light-hearted way...

So many complaints about the narrator. His quirks add to the tale — an old mountain man would probably call it the “Marinara Trench” and would probably restart sentences a lot. While it took me out of the tale at times, it was way less distracting than the mermaids, Satanists and other oddball out of place elements.

Also, “earthworm gods” probably sets up expectations of a huge monster book. It’s more about survival and occasionally some monsters.

It definitely could have been a lot better, but I really enjoyed the first part. Still haven’t finished the second half and I doubt I will.

The odd narrator voice matched the character. The second half is ignorable.

Brian Keene is freaking fantastic! This book was awesome and I couldn't stop listening. I loved the characters, the plot, the pace, and the writing--everything! Loved the narrator, too. Their voice was so familiar and compelling. I fell right into this story. Solid, weird storytelling. 5 stars. Will read again!!!

I like the story. it's not the greatest book ever written but it's a fun read and I enjoyed it.

I liked it but I somehow felt like it just ended too quickly. Like it needed a little bit more to flesh it out.

A decent story with well developed characters
