Resumen del Editor

An inspirational guide for leaders by the two-time Super Bowl-winning coach of the New York Giants

Preparation is easy to praise but very hard to master. No modern coach, in any sport, understands that better than NFL veteran Tom Coughlin. He led the New York Giants to two Super Bowl victories (2008 and 2012) with his system of relentless preparation and old-school tough-mindedness.

He teaches his players that you can never guarantee a win, but you can always earn the right to win - with focus, consistency, hard work, and anticipation of obstacles. And if you’ve earned the right to win, you can sleep soundly before a big game and take the field with confidence.

Now Coughlin brings his best advice and anecdotes to a wider audience, and shows how they apply beyond the gridiron. As he likes to say, the more you sweat, the less you bleed. He explains his attention to detail and his passion for knowing even the smallest bits of information that might affect a game. He also shows how to build flexibility into your plan and prepare for the unexpected.

Coughlin blends insider stories with practical insights from his 40-year career, creating a powerful guide for leaders in any field.

Looking for a book to get you prepped and pumped? Look no further.

If you are a New York Football Giants fan then this might be a self help bible. If you are not then is definitely a good philosophy and guide book for success. I see this as a good refresher and one you should read once or twice a year before a "rush season" or if I am in a slump.

Regardless a solid man and good principles to live by.

Very Motivational Book for Accomplishing Goals

I really enjoyed this book. It was not only great to hear more of Tom Coughlin's history with coaching and all of the coaching changes he made later in his career that ended up being beneficial to him and his players. but it was great to hear how he goes about preparing each week and how he motivates his players to do well. This would be a great book for anyone that wants inspiration on achieving a leadership role such as a manager or a coach. This book is also great for gaining leadership skills even within your household.

Great read.

I am a high school coach who is always looking for a great read on coaching. This is a great book that makes excellent points in a short read. He does not overdraw or circulate his philosophy on football, he tells you how it is and moves on...Great job

Great Stuff

First and foremost I’m a Cowboys fan, but that didn’t keep me from reading Coughlin’s book, and I’m glad I did. Even though I didn’t know much about him, I always respected the man and thought he was a great coach. If you’re a football fan and love quotes, you’ll enjoy the stories and references in his book. They’re great and are all relevant. He does repeat a couple of stories, but the message’s are still clear. This book is full of nuggets that we could all use and apply to our lives.
