Very interesting

This was a very entertaining and interesting audiobook that I listened to on my 12 hour car ride and it was great. If you are bored on a long car ride this is a great book for you.

Hillbilly Space Future

So the narrator threw me off initially because to be honest it is not what i was expecting. That being said the narrator was perfect for the storyline.

The storyline. somehow it drags you in and forces you to really love this hillbilly mutant family and their interfacing and outsider struggles.

This storyline puts you in a place where you have to want the next book because you become invested.

if you're looking for something different with depth. but still fun...this is your next listen/read.

Gem of a Self Pub

I loved this book and the narration is excellent. Folks who like the family aspects and/or audiobook narrator of Kings of the Wyld or the dramatic tone and wild-west-esque atmosphere and landscape of the show __Justified__ (but with mutants, bionic humans and space guns) will enjoy this one.

This was a very enjoyable story to listen to. Good characters and an interesting story. Well worth a listen to.

I was really surprised this listen grabbed me at the beginning I was listening and had to stop because it was so good I didn't want to finish it quick and when I did all I could say is I hope there is a part two narrator was great so if you looking for a great listen this it

Space western centered on the Caldwell family

Both the author and narrator are new to me. The story is an action packed space western centered on the Caldwell family who have made a home on a new planet. They survive by whatever means necessary and mostly keep to themselves, that is until some higher ranking Bluecoats come to the planet with a specific goal in mind.
Both characters and scenes are well written and draw you in to the Caldwell family's predicament.

The narrator is a perfect fit in my mind. He narrates this book and the characters with a deep growly backwoods southern drawl (fellow southerner myself) bringing a spot on voice to the description of patriarch Drifter Caldwell.

Exciting, intriguing, and captivating

Great new voice in Sci-Fantasy

Such a cool and solid story! The premise and setting were unique and the writing was solid and polished. The various characters felt rich and the history and the origins were well done. I really enjoyed the combination of the scrapyard-backwater family of the Caldwells set in a futuristic dystopia fighting the cutting-edge androids. The Caldwells are like the Bad News Bears version of the xMen up against the ‘Bluecoat’ Terminators.

The story takes the action of Shapeshifters, berserkers, soothsayers amidst the swamplands and hills of the Dusk Mountains to a very well executed ‘grand battle’ from multiple POVs and unique characters. The seemingly invincible villain leaves the question of how they’re going to defeat it up in the air.

A solidly constructed multi POV tale of unique characters and the importance of family as well as the sacrifices of progress.

Hatfield’s and McCoy’s Science Fiction style

I really enjoyed this audiobook. It has hints of the Hatfield’s and McCoy’s type feud but in Outer Space. Lots of action and comedy! Well written and well narrated. I highly recommend this as a great listen,
