Nearly perfection

Giving it a 5 star because I can’t give half stars. If I could I would give it a 4.5, but it’s too good to only give a 4 IMO.
I listened on audio with several of my kids. We loved it. So many twists and turns. Everything flowed together so well. I’d forget we were listening to a book and could easily see each scene in my head in pictures. Everything was portrayed so well! And for me, who’s a little spicy brained when it comes to keeping my attention with audio books. I usually have to be moving and doing other tasks to be able to process things. But this was so easy to listen to and get into. I would have finished it in a day or two if I didn’t wait for times I could listen to it with my kids together since they were also hooked.
Our only complaint, unanimous from the whole household 🤣, was several parts of the very very end in the last chapter.
But otherwise an incredible book and a new favorite.
The kids loved it so much they also named their new kitten Shannon.

This book is just as good the second time!

I read this book when it first came out, so listening to the audio book is a reread for me, and it is just as good the second time!

This book is inspired by the story of Jonathan in the Bible (something I didn't know the first time I read it the made it even better the second time), and it's full of everything a good fantasy should have (you know... fencing, fighting, torture, true love, miracles... and of course, a unique world and characters you love or love to hate)!

I love it when authors narrate their own books! You get to see a little bit of how they imagine the voices in their heads, and I love the little bit of extra insight into the characters! I did notice that it seemed a little slower than what I'm used to, so while I don't normally speed up the narration, I did this time. Somewhere between 1.2-1.4 seemed more normal to me. I made the switch about halfway through and found myself enjoying the experience more that way, so if you normally listen without adjusting the speed like me, you may want to consider the switch!

Exciting Tale!

Dreamteller has a lot to offer: battles, court intrigue, romance, and more. Set in a separate Tolkienesque world complete with evil creatures, quaint villages, simple folk, complicated characters, even its own songs, Dreamteller weaves a tale that reads like a movie! Good clean entertainment for older kids to adults. The reading (and singing) is beautifully done.

Fantastic listen!

I hated for this book to end! I will be looking out for this author’s future reads!

Interesting plot with fun fantasy elements

Overall really liked this book! Perfect for teenage girls with the right amount of fantasy elements, hints of romance, and great characters. Would recommend!!

Clean and wholesome

I really enjoyed the book. the storyline was very interesting. There were no curse words or inappropriate situations. This is definitely a book that I will let my teen daughter read.
