A human warrior with untapped power. An elven princess with a dark secret. A fated union to save the future of dragonkind.

Sol Farric is a short-lived human in an empire ruled by ageless elves. When he is unexpectedly victorious in the season’s largest gladiatorial tournament, he becomes a contender to win the greatest prize of all: the right to become the bonded mate of Dragon Princess Kyriel and sire the next generation of Wyrm Lords.

But it won't be easy. The leaders of the Great Houses want the princess for themselves, and they will stop at nothing to prevent the “lowly human” from claiming the woman they believe is rightfully theirs.

Dragon Centurion is the first book in a serialized arc of novels combining sword and sorcery action with a slow burn fated romance.

I guess there wasn't enough in the budget for a male narrator.
I agree with previous reviews that this feels like half of a story. not much happens in the way of action. Just a lot noble posturing and whining.

Dragon Sovereign was a lot better than this.

only half of a book

There are some odd inconsistencies in this book. And it ends just when it starts to feel like it’s getting going which leaves me not knowing how to feel. But I’m leaning more positive than negative.

*some minor spoilers*

Like, this is a Matriarchal kingdom that serves under a patriarchal empire, how could you think men aren’t wise enough to rule when your Emperor is man? Why doesn’t it cross anyone’s mind to even attempt to try and teach the MC how to shift? Why are people worried about the MCs longevity once we think he’s a dragon? Don’t know why or how the race of the visage would affect longevity, a dragons a dragon right?

Weird quirks in this one
