😳🤨🧐 UMMMMM! Not really what I expected.

First let’s say the narration was amazing. Myles Washington will forever be my fav. I guess I was kind of confused on this book. The 1st book was good, but this one I got lost a few times. I felt like there were some parts that didn’t quite make sense. The author gave so much to the curse and root but really missed the ending. I’m assuming the timeline of it was over a 9month period but it wasn’t relayed that way. It came off as if this was weeks but all of sudden Denim is having the baby. Although, I seen where they were going, it didn’t quite hit for me. I have read a lot of Madam Wise and this was the first I can’t really vibe with.

Did not expect this but I liked it

This was not what I was expecting when I started this book. but I enjoyed it so much. It may not be for everyone but I really liked it. take a listen you wont be disappointed!!

Perfect Narration

The narrators were perfect for these characters and the writing style. This book started great but in the 2nd half, there were things happening that didn't make sense/fit. Also, the long-winded scene setting and overuse of similes was distracting. We don't need 12 twenty word similes and 3 poetic metaphors to describe one thing! It had me zoning out at times. Overall, I enjoyed the story and found the storyline engaging.
