Bonus inside: Easy Doggy Health: Safe & Healthy Tips & Remedies for Common Dog Problems & Foods to Avoid
If you're reading this, I can guess that you've either lived or worked with dogs. We don't call them man's best friend for nothing. Since the very dawn of civilization, man has shared his life with our canine friends.
This is the complete five-book series, a collection of 60 true stories that we hope illustrate just why life is always enhanced by having a dog around.
The relationships we have with our dogs are as real and intense as any we have with our family and friends or partners, many would say more important in a lot of ways.
Even though we don't share a common verbal language, something magical happens when your soul meets with the warm, trusting nature and intelligence of a dog. All they ask for is kindness, compassion, and a regular meal. In return, they will be with you through the trials of life, your best friend, always loyal, and always has your back when the road gets rough.
A dog makes a house a home and completes the family. A person with the love and understanding of dogs is a person I can trust and relate to; I'm sure you feel the same way.
If you want some funny, sad, and heartwarming short listens, treat yourself with this book, and cuddle up with your pooch while you enjoy these dog tales.

Animals bring out the goodness, humanity, and optimism in people and speak directly to our souls. This joyous, inspiring, and entertaining Chicken Soup collection relates the unique bonds between animals and the people whose lives they've changed: such as the dolphins who helped a paralyzed woman heal when doctors offered little hope; the dog who brought life into a failing marriage; the kitten who helped a mother mourn; and the flying squirrel who taught a man the power of laughter.

Historia
From the author of the critically acclaimed bestseller, Scent of the Missing, comes a heartwarming and inspiring story that shows how dogs can be rescued and can rescue in return. For her first book, Susannah Charleson was praised for her unique insight into the kinship between humans and dogs, as revealed through canine search and rescue. In The Possibility Dogs Charleson chronicles her journey into the world of psychiatric-service and therapy dogs trained to serve the human mind, a journey that began as a personal one. After a particularly grisly search led to a struggle with PTSD, Charleson credits healing to her partnership with search dog Puzzle. Inspired by that experience and having met dogs formally trained to assist in such crises, Charleson learns to identify abandoned dogs with service potential, often plucking them from shelters at the last minute, and to train them for work beside hurting partners, to whom these second-chance dogs bring intelligence, comfort, and hope.

When Cara felt her teenaged children slipping away and saw an empty nest on the horizon, she decided the best way to fill that void was with dogs - lots of them - and so her foster journey began. In 2015, her Pennsylvania farm became a haven for Operation Paws for Homes. There were the nine puppies at once, which arrived with less than a day's notice; a heart-worm positive dog; a deeply traumatized stray pup from Iraq; and countless others who just needed a gentle touch and a warm place to sleep.

The Underdogs tells the story of Karen Shirk, felled at age 24 by a neuromuscular disease and facing life as a ventilator-dependent, immobile patient, who was turned down by every service dog agency in the country because she was "too disabled". Her nurse encouraged her to tone down the suicidal thoughts, find a puppy, and raise her own service dog. Karen did this, and Ben, a German shepherd, dragged her back into life.

Sharron Kahn Luttrell was still mourning the death of her beloved German shepherd when she decided to volunteer as a weekend puppy raiser .But Daisy, an adorable bundle of fur the color of buttered toast, captures Sharron's heart the moment she's handed the leash. And while Keith, the convict who cares for and trains Daisy during the week, seems intimidating at first, he is soft-spoken and polite. What's more, Daisy's appearance on Fridays, freshly scrubbed and sweet smelling, seems further evidence of his gentle nature.

Awesome performance and writing, special effects.
What made the experience of listening to Dog Tales: 12 True Dog Stories of Loyalty, Heroism and Devotion, Volume 1 the most enjoyable?
Such a variety, if you are a dog lover, this will describe, as closely as is possible, how it feels to be a dog owner. And if you are not a dog owner, you will want to be after hearing these stories.
What was one of the most memorable moments of Dog Tales: 12 True Dog Stories of Loyalty, Heroism and Devotion, Volume 1?
When they lost their german shepherd in the woods, brought back memories, of my sled dog's, running off and then being so relieved when we found them again.
What does Patricia Mary Hoeksema bring to the story that you wouldn’t experience if you just read the book?
Such passion and understanding, since she is a very popular dog behaviorial trainer, with years of experience working with dogs, she knew just how to bring these stories alive. And the variety of character's and dialect's, show's that she is a gifted voice actress!
Was there a moment in the book that particularly moved you?
There were several parts that made me cry, and several that made me laugh.
Any additional comments?
These stories brought back memories of all the dog's I've owned through the year's. So well written and told, the special effect, are right on, they were such a treat. This was not a wham, bam, thank you Madame, reading. You can tell that much time and care and thought went into this production.
