Love the characters!

This was a great book and the characters were great and story arch fun but strong.

Decent plot but overly convoluted

This book could have been shorter and the plots more intentional. This book dragged on for far too long and got boring real fast.

Enjoyed this take on Alien Contact

A lighthearted romance mixed with some self-growth and “what-if” earth met alien civilizations. Enjoyed it and listened to it in one day. Definitely recommend

Good read

Interesting read , enjoyable characters. I always enjoy this author’s work. Enjoyed also the humor, caring characters and light romance.

Convoluted

I’m a fan of Ms. Schwartz’ writings, but this one is just a little too convoluted politically for me and my poor pea brain. It was a struggle to keep track of it for me. Ms. Brentan was awesome however.

I expected more

I expected more from the doctor. But she didn't seem to grow much of a back bone. Maybe in the next books she will, fingers crossed.

A favorite ‘cozy’ sci-fi

A fun, character-driven sci-fi with a touch of romance and room for deeper thought, I truly enjoy this story.

The narrators chosen voices (and cadence) can be difficult to listen, but generally I appreciate her narration.

Decent story. Could have been so much more.

There is a vast amount of information put through in exposition through the main character’s inner monologue. And there’s a lot of it. Then suddenly she’s somewhere else asking a question to a patient. Or then she’s suddenly in the cafeteria answering questions at breakfast. There’s vast amounts of time that are spent in her head that we as the audience are not even allowed to spend with her edited reality show or experiencing anything with her. I had to run it back several times because I thought I missed something, then I read the kindle version, and realized that there wasn’t anything there to miss. Time just jumped. And developing friendships that could have helped the audience understand more, just weren’t shown. It results in a fairly two-dimensional story.

Narrator was clear and conveyed emotions and different characters well.

Fun SF romance

I really liked the world building, and I liked the FMC and the MMC. The narration is well done.

Loved this book!

This is my 3rd time listening to this book. It IS that good. The Audible is very good. The story is excellent. It is full of adventure and intrigue.
